A discussion about a character like Victor Gideon—besides the fact that he is a man and not subject to the same kind of reflexive sexualization and objectification as Lady D—hinges much more on the people participating in the conversation exactly because Victor Gideon is a weird gross guy

I think this is by design to a degree. Just like what happened with Las Vegas where visitation rates dropped significantly but local casinos did not care because they cater to higher income individuals now. I think this is where gaming is heading as well. Leave behind the bottom 50-60% of society and cater to mid-high to high income individuals. It's a symptom of late stage capitalism.

I have to skip this parade but it's not a real protest, I'm not saying we shouldn't go but it's theater. I went to the others and I've gone to real protests but it feels like those mostly dont happen outside of ICE protests lately or theyre not getting the coverage in the way they used to anyway.
