Circling back to computers, the 90s was absolutely prime time for tech hobbyists and geeks. You had computers and the internet, the first edition of the web. Technology was advancing rapidly, and it became possible to do more every year. But it was still blissfully innocent, relatively speaking. Computers were something being used to run the infrastructure of society and business, and a large, growing, but still somewhat sequestered hobby community for individuals.

Because I looked it up, not only is Ontario's economy three times bigger in constant dollars now compared to the 1980's but its manufacturing is also three times bigger. Per capita income has doubled. In 1991 the highest decile got 22% of income, in 2021 it was 23%. The median decile has moved from 8.5% of income to 8.4%. It's nuts how everything over there is about vibes and nobody ever questions theirs. lol

The question is: how can we achieve victory over the ultimate evil in the world (terrorism), without recognizing the kind of deception that is the hallmark of the Antichrist? 4.0 out of 5 stars An Interesting Synopsis

Is George Bush The Antichrist?, by R. Stephen Hanchett is a fairly well written synopsis on the possibility of Bush being the final antichrist. There are a few grammatical errors here and there, but you are seeing that more frequently in books today as the rush to print deems it so.

He presents an intelligent argument to make his case. Siting the fact that Bush is the only world leader whose name comes out to be 666 in Hebrew numerology, to prophecies of Nostradamus, to The Book of Revelations. The one thing I did not like about the book was the hokie pictures of President Bush, it was kind of like bathroom humor, but you can sense the authors sincerity to get his message across so I overlooked that. The one thing I thought for sure that this book would also address is, "Who is the False Prophet spoken of in end times?" He makes a brief reference to Billy Graham and Pat Robertson, but that's about it on that subject.

I cannot say I agree George Bush is the Antichrist, but I also cannot say he is not. This book makes an excellent case for it, and certainly has set me to thinking upon it.

The book was worth reading when it came out. It is still worth reading today. Today, however, the title would be WAS GEORGE BUSH THE ANTICHRIST? Remembering that "Christ" is a title and not a name, then "Antichrist" must surely also be a title. Was George Bush an Antichrist? The answer to my mind is "yes." Apocalyptic writing, whether we are talking about the Book of Daniel or the Book of Revelation is not meant to be read as prophecy set in stone. For me, President George W. Bush had a role to play in the testing of the United States as a nation. That role was to be the Antichrist of our generation. How did we measure up? I am inclined toward pessimism; the consequences of his "leadership" will be with us for decades yet to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Book-Worth Reading
Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2005
Format: Paperback
Is George W. Bush the antichrist? That is an intriguing question, and one that cannot be answered by anyone other than God. However, the author does present a good strong argument for his thesis. He provides sources for all information so that you can do your own investigation and come up with your own conclusions. For example, using Ancient Hebrew, two forms of Numerology and ASCII codes to determine that Bush's number is 666. I used these systems to figure out both my wife's numbers and my own. Let's just say that I did not come up with similar numbers in each form, so it seems pretty scary that Bush would turn up all sixes. It might just be a coincidence or it could turn out to be something far worse. After reading the book it is hard not to think that Bush may be the Antichrist. If he is not then he is indeed a very evil person, and it is hard to consider him a Christian. My only regret is that more people will not be able to read this book and come to their own conclusions. It is nearly impossible to find this book in mainstream bookstores, and unfortunately the people who most need to read it won't have access to the book.

Paperback – Illustrated, October 28, 2003

The Bible code-the ancient code encrypted in the Bible that may reveal our future-was made known to the world by investigative reporter Michael Drosnin. Now he reveals startling new predictions warning that we may have only three years to stop the countdown to Armageddon. This dramatic account opens on the morning of September 11, 2001, when Drosnin witnessed the attack on the World Trade Center-and then found the terrible event predicted in detail in the 3,000-year-old Bible code. But according to the code, September 11 was only the beginning. The Bible code says we are already in the "End of Days," the Apocalypse foretold by all three major religions of the West. Drosnin has traveled the globe to meet with world leaders to prevent the impending danger-and to search for the "Code Key," a long-buried ancient object that may completely unlock the Bible code, just in time to save our world.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible_code

Quote:Drosnin also made a number of claims and alleged predictions that have since failed. Among the most important, Drosnin clearly states in his book "The Bible Code II", published on December 2, 2002, that there was to be a World War involving an "atomic holocaust" that would allegedly be the end of the world. Another claim Drosnin makes in "The Bible Code II" is that the nation of Libya would develop weapons of mass destruction which would then be given to terrorists who would then use them to attack the West (specifically the United States). In reality, Libya improved relations with the West in 2003 and gave up all their existing weapons of mass destruction programs. A final claim Drosnin made in "The Bible Code II" was that Palestinian Authority leader Yasser Arafat would allegedly be assassinated by being shot to death by gunmen which Drosnin specifically stated would be from the Palestinian Hamas movement. This prediction by Drosnin also failed, as Yasser Arafat died on November 11, 2004 of what was later declared to be natural causes (specifically a stroke brought on by an unknown infection).
