I'm going to be honest, while I'm glad that the thread was finally locked, I'm honestly a bit uncomfortable that a thread that used a derogatory term used to fetishize and put down trans and intersex people (especially one used as a joke) lasted so long; and that so many people in ERA were okay with it and taking part in it with not much care about the awful nature of the term. Like that really felt like it showed what many people in ERA really think of trans people, a joke, fetish material, that shitty terms against us are okay to use as a joke.

I really wish their was ways to report threads without having to enter threads because I really didn't want to enter it because I knew how bad it'd be and yeah, it was bad.

One of those threads where it didn't take long for it to become apparent that most of the people laughing were cis men and the joke went from 'guy doesn't realise he's referenced futanari' to just finding the idea of trans bodies either gross or funny.

Oh for crying out loud. All they do is complain everything isn’t centered around them.

I am not a pet owner, don't care for dogs (or cats), but have been around discussions about dogs and particularly pit bulls. And I can see it from PhilosyNoir's perspective.

Dawud ibn Salih ibn Dinar at-Tammar quoted his mother as saying that her mistress sent her with some pudding (harisah) to Aisha who was offering prayer. She made a sign to me to place it down. A cat came and ate some of it, but when Aisha finished her prayer, she ate from the place where the cat had eaten. She stated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: It is not unclean: it is one of those who go round among you. She added: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performing ablution from the water left over by the cat.

No, fuck off with this false-equivalence.
When it's useful or "cute" behaviors that are bred into dogs, that often show up in puppies which are very young and could never have been trained, nobody denies that it's a thing. Heelers, pointers, herding breeds, etc.
When it's dangerous dogs that were bred to fight/kill prey, suddenly that's "a matter of training."

It doesn't matter how well-trained your dog is. It only takes *a moment* of it getting "over-excited" or "scared" for its instincts/prey-drive to kick in. "It's never like that - it just snapped!"
And if it's a dangerous breed, there can be deadly/life-altering consequences.
Especially when a lot of owners of these breeds are not built to handle them. You see small women walking these dogs on thin leashes - and they would get pulled over/dragged around if that dog actually wanted to chase after something, rather than being able to restrain it.

Many owners do not even understand their dog's own behaviors and think a pitbull that is acting possessive, is being "very protective" of a baby or other small animal in its vicinity when it's showing aggression towards the owner for getting near. "Oh look, it's smiling."
I will not stand for people trying to make "cute pibbles" a thing on social media.

Ownership and breeding of these dogs should be outlawed.
If you've ever seen the aftermath of one of these attacks, you wouldn't question it.
Ask yourself why people *want* to own a dog breed that is capable of mauling/killing a person - even if you believe that "the right training" is enough to keep them under control. It shouldn't be a thing.

and yeah it's a massive false equivalence...we all agree that some species of animals shouldn't be owned as pets because they're too dangerous/too wild, like tigers...what's magical about dogs that makes them all good by default?
