So, the misconception with TERFs and GC's is that they see us as men. Thing is, they're lying through their teeth. They try really hard to prove to everyone else that we're men, but they actually see us as women.

Also one of the problems is that opponents understand their position too well. Because they never extend anything beyond the part where they assert their claim. So they think of it as this nice peaceful "I say I want to be like a woman" and everyone just applauds them for being brave and stunning. They don't even think of the part where, to steal from above, the illusion runs into people who don't believe. And how in every instance they immediately turn to demanding the use of force to make others say they believe. Even though this will never stop because they'll just have to hunt down people who "secretly" don't believe but say all the right things. And so on and so on until the Kafkaesque dystopia.

So just yell BASIC HUMAN DECENCY and BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS and CAN'T YOU JUST GIVE ME THIS ONE THING and WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE until others are willing to do enough violence for you all because you've developed some weird autistic hangup about gender roles that should just be rejected as false. (You know, kind of like all the feminists advocated for the last two centuries until this current wave.)

I imagine they go hard against you because you guys hijacked feminist discourse to justify anything for the weirdos of your community. The reason so many people can't stand them is because their entire existence is a nonsensical cyclical logic.

They claim gender and sex are separate. Ok, fine. They say they feel like "women" as in the societal gender. But what does society define as a woman if we remove the sex characteristics? Dresses? Shaved legs? 

Feminine characteristics are no longer as monolithic in our society as they were in the 50s and 60s, but let's face it, what all these losers want is the idea of that type of woman in their lives, but they can't get it, so they try to become it. So they either have to lean into every stereotype that is now called misogynist: Dresses, makeup, heels, rom com movies, whatever or they have to acknowledge that a female doesn't have to exhibit any gendered characteristics to still be a female, which they can't do because they're physically male. 

Once they realize that a genetic woman will be 100% more feminine wearing a suit and pants than they would be in a cocktail dress they start sliding down the slippery slope of body modification. In this case its the hormones, the fillers, the implants, etc. but guess what, now you've abandoned the gender debate and are trying to change your sexual characteristics. Sure sounds like you're no longer transgender, but rather transsexual. Hmm, sure sounds like body dysphoria to me, i.e. mental illness. Even at this stage, so few of them ever actually chop their dicks off because they are fundamentally male, and every last drop of millennia of genetic evolution in a male brain is going to do everything it can to stop you from chopping your dick off. The ones that go through with it, are completely off the deep end. They're flat out mentally ill.

But the point is, so many of these stupid fucks are just appropriating the feminine in themselves because they're such beta losers that they've never gone on a date with a woman let alone actually had sex with one. But to admit that would shatter what little self esteem they have left so they build castles of delusion from which they sling shit at people like Rowling for calling their asinine delusions out.

It's even stupider because simply correctly identifying that gender is a social construct does not mean you get to define it however you want, you are not society. But I know understanding this is a big problem for the ResetERA.com type in general, not just TransEra. (See also: Nepenthe talking about "my people", they way they conglomerate Asians or the general suggestion including by the staff that being something inherently makes you an expert authority on any topic that can be related to that.)

Why are you incapable of contributing anything remotely substantive that isn't just dropping something like "you are factually incorrect, the game is great and successsful " with nothing further than that? The game reviewed well, but not phenomenally. Sales milestones suggested it did "ok," leaving a ton of room for people to draw their own conclusions because there is no objective metric for commercial success without more concrete insider info about budget and sales targets (and no, I don't mean PR fluff pieces). Player impressions were all over the place.

Me? I honestly enjoyed it a lot. I have some complaints, but I completed it in a time where I rarely complete longer games. It was one of the reasons I pulled the trigger on getting a PS5, and I don't regret it. Still, reading between the lines, my gut feeling is that its commercial performance is just middling bordering on underwhelming. Is my read correct? Dunno. I could be wrong. But if I am it certainly isn't because of a throwaway post from you going "actually you are factually wrong. It's fantastic and sold very well."

That isn't what "mixed" means. It is incorrect to say that FFXVI had a mixed response. It got very good reviews. A majority positive reaction from players. It sold well. The response to the game was not mixed.

That doesn't mean everyone loved it. But misrepresenting how a game was received as the backbone to an argument should generally be corrected. And it's very common for people to misrepresent the response to XVI.

So, it's that short in NYC because we have a history of shitty slumlords and it's designed to give people some legal protection against their tactics. What winds up happening sometimes is the landlord won't fix some vital thing that needs fixing in the hopes of either driving you out or having you withhold rent until they do the fix which would, without these rules, potentially give them cause to have you evicted. Problem is you wind up with assholes like the one in the news report who take advantage of the situation.

It needs to be kept in mind as well that this has been the pro-Israel line for decades. "You're 'criticizing' Israel? What're you, a Nazi?"
