Playing as "self insert" male characters makes me dysphoric so I haven't played any game with them since transitioning 3 and a half years ago, but I keep forgetting this and keep buying games with them in them such as Persona 3 R, TOTK, P4G, Danganronpa (fuck V3's first case twist), etc. It is a legitimate accessibility issue for me at this point and I am just sick of video games being created solely for the purview of men. The most crushing version of this was when Skyward Sword got rereleased on switch and I had to stop just after getting off Skyloft because I just couldn't cope any more.

How does some of these people function in society.

Hate myself for admitting this. But that Danganronpa V3 first case was excellent because of twist. Wouldn't have been anywhere as memorable without it. Nerd mode off.

When I sit down to watch a movie or TV show I don't expect to have a character that is like myself right? Would be fucking boring really.

I'm not a big fan of that design for Aphrodite but she's still better than Eve by quite a lot.

One thing I do notice whenever this game is mentioned in a thread is that there seem to be two parallel threads happening at the same time. One thread is uncritically saying "nice! day one, can't wait" and the other is saying "i feel insane, the director/writer of this game and cofounder of the studio is a massive gamergater" and it does make me wonder what universe the former thread is taking place in - I just wouldn't be able to ignore this or separate the (heavily intertwined, as much as people would like to deny it) art from the artist enough to enjoy a title by the guy.

It's a conspiracy theory that I don't really believe, but my first reaction is always to wonder if the people in the first camp are astroturfing, people who work for the studio or something. That's very likely not the case, especially since the couple times I've clicked through to look at other threads/posts there has been a healthy history of just chatting in F1 threads or talking about smash.

Some people really do just have blinders on, and don't give a damn about marginalized people. It truly sucks.

• Statutory minimum sick pay for up to 28 weeks sick in a year
  
• Statutory 28 days paid holiday a year
  
• Statutory health and safety regulations and mandatory health and safety training and certification for employers to ensure compliance
  

Also just general other tangential qualities like being able to claim unemployment without ever having actually had a job to pay into it, housing for people who cant afford their own housing, benefits paid as actual money not as 'food stamps' or whatever, free medical cover for the entire population etc.
You're also - as an employer - not legally permitted to request a doctors sick note for a sick leave of less than 3 consecutive working days
