I was hanging out with my highscool and under age cousins/names/nephews and like, and almost none of them game like me and my older brothers do. only one of my younger cousins does and he's in college and took up a job to pay for his gaming habits. All they do is play roblox, fortnite, FC mobile, rocket league and more. some of the older ones occasionally play older PS4 games but that's it



I can't even be mad at this point. I had to to build up a Phoenix Wright level case to ask my folks for a $50 or $60 game and do something like get straight A's for a semester back when I was younger. I can't imagine doing it for any modern games. everything going digital is just gonna make things worse. I found a copy of god of war ragnarok at walmart for like $20 bucks but it's still like $60 on digital 4 years later



I used to think gaming as we know dying as doomerism but I can't even fight that allegation anymore. times are tough and I can't blame any kid for sticking with fortnite/genshin impact/marvel rivals instead of getting a bunch of different games like we did. it's easier to ask your parents for $10 or so to spend on whatever GAAS of your choice than way more on a new game



hell, I'm pushing 30 and I play a lot of marvel rivals and wuthering waves. the only future game I intend to buy at launch is control resonant and that's mostly because it's "only" $60
