The real issue is that Hamas uses civilians as human shields. They won't do it because they are a civilized country but I imagine that if Israel released Gopro footage of their close combat fights with Hamas people would be utterly shocked to see the kind of evil the IDF is actually fighting. 

The way Hamas raided Israel on October 7th doesn't differ much from their usual tactics of kidnapping, extortion and murder. 
Hamas is a death cult that has brain washed children and teenagers to do their bidding. 

Israel has them on the ropes and wants to finish the job, difficult to argue against that.

Please do not take this in a bad way but I have been lurking from time to time in various subreddits which are discussing this issue and I just saw this post and it reminded me about some of the language i saw there too. Quite a lot of people were mad because they would need a PSN account specifically and thus the association with PlayStation, a console, as if that made it any different, more undesirable, than linking with any other publisher account that they had already done countless times before. They would use several variations of "I don't want anything to do with a console". It is posible that there is an element of PC Master Race in all of this for a part of those who are obviously quite pissed? Is that an element with your friends?

I think by now I shouldn't be surprised by what people choose to get angry about on the internet. But this HD2 situation managed to get me still. I find it so ridiculous that people are actively refunding the game and spreading the way to refund the game as some kind of movement. As someone who plays FIFA/FC regularly, I can confidently say that these people have no idea how scummy live service games can actually get. To think people are rallying against one that is actually good. And all over email addresses. As if that data isn't already in a server being bought and sold by marketing.

It's definitely easier to understand a dutch person speaking English as a 2nd language than a large portion of Scottish people

Dutch is a very difficult language where the exception is the rule. German for example is also difficult but despite all the 'rules' they are consistent with very few exceptions.
A lot of things in the Dutch language have no logic or require throat noises. For example you might learn that the past tense of the word "Working / Werken" is "Worked / Werkte".
So when someone asks you what the past tense of "Walking / Lopen" is, you will probably answer "Lopte" , which is wrong but not because you forgot the additional o (Loopte) but because it's actually "Liep". Our language is basically a minefield of linguistic traps. 

And when it comes to speaking Dutch, more often than not people use entirely made-up words based on the town, province or city they live in or mix in random English words like
"commitment". Finally people use sarcasm a lot. So when someone says: "You did great / Dat heb je goed gedaan" with a big smile they might actually be saying that you really fucked up based on the word they emphasize.

English is basically easy mode for most of us.
