I don't like FromSoft games. I tried Bloodborne, I tried Dark Souls. I've even tried a couple of their imitators.

Not for me. I don't buy them and I don't waste my time playing them.

And complaining about that because difficulty is silly by itself. The whole reason why Soul games become a zeitgeist is that the difficulty makes everyone over analyze everything. It wouldn’t be the same if Elden Ring was a Ubisoft open world game were everything is given to you.

It's the thing we've talked about before, they want to protect their opinions from being dismissed as opinions. If it's part of The Cause then it can't be dismissed or the person is admitting to being a chud. You can dismiss someone wanting lower difficulty, you can't dismiss accessibility.

and dark souls has plenty of ways to make it easy. that's what the entire multiplayer system is all about. there are very few penalties for death too, so dying over and over is not a big deal.

my biggest "accessibility" complaint is that it's too fucking long. my playthrough took 65 hours, and the second half sucks as everyone knows. if they just took the first half, add some of the later bosses, and removed all the rpg elements it would be perfect. Elden ring sounds like they went in the complete opposite direction so i definitely won't be bothering with that lol.
