The fact that some of people still believe Kojima is some indie artist that got hit by unfavorable industry conditions and had to scrap together a future for himself and not just a rich man living in Tokyo that was able to fund an AAA studio and have 3 major industry players throw money at him still amaze me. He is not gaming's Greta Thunberg… he is Oprah.

But...wouldn't the circumstances behind Kojima's firing and him setting up his own studio LITERALLY make him an "indie artist"? Since when does "indie" mean poor?

Need some cheering up due to a very stressful and emotional day at work so going to post a hopefully feel good and cheery post.



What animals make you feel good or happy when you see them? Whether seeing them in the wild, on gifs and media vids, when you get home, visiting parents etc?



Bovines always make me happy to see, I love cows, love petting them, their my second favourite mammal.



I love seeing land invertebrates like the Woodlice, Wasps (best insects), Bees, Moths, Bumblebees, House Spider (their adorable and very ticklish), Daddy Longlegs etc. I always smile when I see goofy Harvestmen/Daddy Longlegs Spiders and always make sure to keep them safe from my cats.



I love Iguanas and Monitor Lizards, they always make me smile.



Sea Pigs (Scotoplanes) and Sea Angels (Sea Slugs in generally) really make me smile, their so adorable and I love them so much!



And of course my pet cats, my oldest cast especially the past few days in particular has been so cuddly the past few days and has been really helpful when I've been having emotionally off days since I lost two cats by in April.

But instead of coming together to oppose him, we spend more time arguing about ideology than anything else. The Second World War had a very clear lesson about what it takes to beat fascists, we continually ignore it because everyone wants to be the one to pick up the pieces.

This channel was introduced to me here when there was talk about Seinfeld and how he tried to go anti-woke/cancel culture victim. His meta-commentary on comedy is interesting although it really is "fuck Joe Rogan" and this essay feels like the big culmination of the last couple of years of those videos, where yes it's about the death of comedy, but also about the slow decline of society because Rogan has been enabled by billionaires who want him to destroy society.

Basically comparing JRE and his comedy club to North Korea and Rogan himself to a dictator who needs to create his own reality is really insightful. But then he goes into the whole JRE cinematic universe with the garbage of Kill Tony and all the other JRE spinoffs that have infected comedy and society as well. It's an artful takedown.
