AI has been destructive to art teams. It's destructive to artists. I know several people who have just wholly dropped out of the industry because of the state of things, and they feel their work has become completely devalued. Either clients are running to AI to do concept work, or they're handing you shit and going "umm can you fix this?" and then undercutting your rate.

Concept artists are being told to basically paint over AI generated images and being told that that'll throw off any accusations about AI In the final product, despite literally having overridden the value and input of the fucking concept artists.

Fuck that shit. Fuck AI, fuck its users, fuck its evangelists. Fuck the people that consistently gaslight to glaze its potential, you worthless pathetic absolute fucking nothing excuses of humanity.

He knows several artists who "wholly dropped out" of the "art" industry? To do what? They're always talking about how they know people completely leaving some industry and for some reason I always doubt it's anybody with an actual career. Usually it's like "I know someone completely dropping out of game journalism" and it was like some blogger who freelanced a single article for Kotaku one time or something.

This is also such a privileged elitist stance for a "progressive" forum. Yes, everyone else should be forced to pay more because I want to feel valued. Artists deserve by birth to be an elite caste that forces others to labor more to pay for their existence. Nothing should democratize or lower burdens of access to art. Well, except mass production of art supplies, existing technology like Adobe's products and all the FREE clones, an extensive art educational apparatus, etc. But THIS? THIS IS TOO FAR, I'M NEVER DOING ART AGAIN UNTIL YOU RESTRICT IT AND MAKE LIFE MORE DIFFICULT, COSTLY AND UNPLEASANT FOR EVERYONE.

These people are literally deranged. Look at the completely irrational bile in this post, Khanimus sounds like someone complaining about Blacks or worse, Italians, moving into the neighborhood and lowering property values. Utter nonsense.

And that said, even if AI was everything they claimed, it would be worth it solely if it made Khanimus personally unemployable.

Yes, absolutely. It was not at all a joke about one of the most insufferable posters on Era. I completely support the ends justifying the means as is typical of me.
