Ever since sales age I know that we shouldn't just go by anecdotal evidence.

But at my gym

Girl #1, PT, white top very short black shorts was training her sister, shy and timid but quite cute. Her usual outfit is a pink top and pink shorts up until her knees. 
When she left she put on her leather jacket but didn't change her outfit. She doesn't know how dangerous that look is...

Girl #2, took off her sweater as she walked in to reveal a very tight top but kept her baggy pants on, as I was training she kept walking by to collect weights and other things and to see what me and my PT were doing. Very curious type and quite cute. if tuesday becomes my 3rd regular day I might see her more often. 

The PT asked me if I knew what was up with the girls as all day they were all wearing more risky outfits than usual and taking pictures of themselves in the mirror.

In addition single mom on Bumble asked me out of the blue if it was important for me if a girl I date goes to the gym and is fit like I am.

There you go. Actual real life report of what the hell is going on. I would say this is spreading, girls are heading to gyms in revealing outfits to take pictures for their socials to show that they aren't backing down.
