One time, a golden retriever who wasn't ours came bounding in through our back door like he lived in our house. He was like "HELLO HUMANS, IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU!" and bounced around licking people like he was returning from a long journey.

To this day I still don't know whose dog that was.

I had a neighbor who had a samoyed called Conan that could open doors, one time I forgot to lock mine and was taking an afternoon nap and woke up to see him sleeping on the floor next to my bed lmao. Better a dog than a person breaking in.

I would be so happy if I got a surprise visit from a samoyed. Like being blessed by a guest appearance from a happy cloud.

So like.....did it just leave after it's fun pitstop? 😅

He did! The funniest bit was that we also had two golden retrievers at the time, so I was like "wait that's not my dog. wait there's my dog. wait there's the other one. WAIT WHY ARE THERE THREE OF THEM"

We gave him some treats and pats and then put him outside and he presumably trundled back to his real home.

He was very good and very big for a samoyed most I saw after him were noticeably smaller. The people bought a house and moved away sadly, hope they're doing well.

I still remember, the first week of pandemic lockdown, I was walking to Walgreens to pick up some medicine with my mask on, and as I'm walking down the street in Chicago, this girl is walking the other way past me carrying a Samoyed puppy in her arms. The little thing absolutely freaked out and started squirming and crying when it saw me like it wanted to jump out of its arms to meet me. I still remember the girl going "I'm so sorry baby we can't" to her dog and giving me the most tragic "this fucking sucks" look with her eyes as we passed each other. Never did see her or that dog again but I will always remember that little experience because of how cute it was.
