Is it weird that I think the jokes on here are totally fine but when I see all the "empathetic" leftists doing them it makes me mad? I guess I also think people here are less likely to actually shoot someone

It's because you know or at least don't suspect the posters here want more of it. Most of the jokes lean on the juxtaposition between what the person is saying and the recognition that the event itself is horrible and the person is deliberately ignoring that for comedic purposes. To use today as another example, it's like jokes about 9/11, you trust the person doesn't actually think that's enjoyable and we should have more of it.

You can't do that with the others because they spend every other day talking about all the people they want imprisoned and/or murdered often after brutalizing them, making lists of people whose careers and lives they want ruined, making threats against faceless foes to sound tough, and lecturing people how anyone using violence ever is always justified because bad luck and systemic issues. 

And almost never does the "crime" fit the rhetoric, the Sweeney discourse being a perfect example. If you didn't know these people were completely and always dishonest just trying to posture for others you can't make an argument for why any of their rhetoric doesn't say it would be a good thing if someone murdered her at her next public appearance. Say what you will about Charlie Kirk and his bigotry but at least he wasn't promoting eugenics.
