ERA loves getting people fired from jobs based on their posts online. They have been the biggest supporters and proponents of that tactic. So it's a bit funny how they're pearl-clutching over the last few days when the right exercise the tactic they pioneered. Did they not think it would be used against them and/or people they like? I'm not excusing the right's hypocrisy in doing this, but did ERA never think the shoe would someday be on the other foot?

No, never. With anything. This is why you have all the ACAB prison abolitionists who post about how everything is run by an international white supremacist/jewnazi conspiracy where cruelty is the point also posts about how they want the police to spend more time arresting, imprisoning and murdering people who step out of line in their views. This is why they endlessly cry about how people have to work to get things they want and artists can't be free to do whatever they want then also post how they want a totalitarian system of forced labor for everyone that only produces what the elite want. They can only ever imagine themselves in charge even though they've never been in charge of anything except video game forums and most aren't even in charge of their own lives. (The being in charge of the forum thing is debatable too.)

Their system of justice has absolutely zero to do with what's happening or why, it's entirely and always only about who it is happening to. If it's happening to someone they like, no matter what it is or why it's happening, it's injustice. If it's happening to someone they don't, no matter what it is or why it's happening, it's justice. There are good people (me and those I like) and they deserve Heaven, and there are bad people (everyone who fails to be a good person) and Hell is too good for them.

When I essentially said no, he hit me with "not so open minded of you, eh?" Like what do you even say to that? How is it not painfully obvious that the extreme views are the disqualifier for any alleged decent ones? Like we can't go find people with decent views who also, you know, don't simultaneously hold all the terrible ones.

The problem is not that the extreme views “disqualify” of his decent views, but how the hell he come to this conclusions and why is worth his time to listen all that shit for run of mill “decent” opinions that probably most people have.

Maybe if the left actually had a version of Charlie Kirk who went out and spoke on college campuses instead of sitting on some stream every day eating food and complaining it would help your cause. I didn't agree with Kirk but he actually put in the ground work. The online lefts issue is that they're so insulated that they are unwilling to speak with the other side. Creating some sort of common ground to pull aside centrists or center-rights who are questioning Trumps actions would be a nice idea compared to, you know, DUNKING on stupid jerk faces on reddit, twitter, or bluesky so you feel heckin validated.

Stop purity testing and actually have conversations. Something to think about. But I understand that a lot of y'all have anxiety and that's a lot of work.
