Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I think it's fair to say it's the greatest horror of all time. I watched Halloween last night and was surprised by how tame it was. Good film but not scary. I watched The Exorcist as well. Great film. Easy contender for 2nd place but it's not scary. It was when I was 14 but not now. Texas is scary and that's after having watched it a couple of times over the years and seen countless clips. I actually breathed a sigh of relief when she jumped out the window because I knew it was over.

I saw Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the first time only fairly recently and I was surprised by how intense and real all the camera work feels. Almost handheld documentary style. Really good stuff
