On that note, as of right now this is an economic conflict and not a military one. It does no one any good to worry about a military conflict right now, especially where there is currently no real indication one is about to happen.

Please, let's just take a breath and try to relax a little. We're all afraid and freaking out right now, God knows I am, but going to the darkest potential outcomes of all this only spreads fear and that isn't going to do anyone any good.

I think if Trump invaded Canada, you'd have people in the US and worldwide trying to kill him. Invading Canada would probably trigger WW3 and the nukes would start flying.

If U.S. tarifs hurt American consumers then wouldn't Mexican tariffs hurt Mexican consumers?

It depends on what your goals and current realities are

If your country is primarily based on exploitation it hurts your country because the capital owners are unwilling to invest into producing the product domestically and will try to find other countries to invest in and exploit

If your country is primarily exploited it allows you to make deals with other countries and gives reason for other countries to invest in you
