Just last week Dana Carvey and David Spade interviewed a former Secrect Service Officer for Bush and Obama.

Time stamp at the start of the interview

It's about a 30 min interview. Worth a listen if you want some Secret Service info

Quote:Agent Evy Poumpouras:

think of it this way. A former president GW and then protecting former president Trump.  So protecting GW on The Ranch in Texas and he's pretty low-key now not too much going on. Protecting a president Trump even if he wasn't running for office let's say but just in general with his persona and being in New York and going to Florida that takes like a whole other entourage of people

Quote:Dana:

so that because that's the ultimate uightmare for our security agencies is to have a president harmed (don't want to jinx anything) out on a podium giving a speech.

Blame Dana!!

Quote:I do think we're in an environment where you're sad please take this it'll make you feel better.
um you're struggling? Please take this. You have anxiety please take this and
we're not teaching people how to cope and you're masking the problem. We're not
giving people the proper coping skills.

Yeah, which is why we're seeing a lot of issues. One of the things I track are mass shootings and we've seen the numbers definitely go up. Not gun violence, gun violence has always been around and one-on-one gun
violence has always been around historically but mass shootings? We're
seeing something different happen here and why is that? One of the theories
behind it in the U.S Secret Service has been a lot of assessment into why people
will do this and what makes somebody more likely to be a threat because we
would analyze threats all the time.

Are people's inability to cope.

So usually when we look at a mass shooter we'll look at them historically and you'll see some things happen in their life either a significant life change a breakup a divorce a problem at school a problem at work maybe getting fired and you'll see something like that happened where they don't know how to emotionally regulate themselves.
Hesright
NOW SAY IT LOUD FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!!!!

Quote:“I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead,” Trump said. “I’m supposed to be dead.”

He said he would be if he had not turned his head slightly to the right to read a chart on illegal immigrants.

“A lot of people say it’s the most iconic photo they’ve ever seen,” Trump said. “They’re right and I didn’t die. Usually you have to die to have an iconic picture.”

He added,“I just wanted to keep speaking, but I just got shot.”

The doctor at the local hospital, which has a trauma center, told him he’s never seen anyone survive getting hit by an AR-15, Trump recalled.

Also says he threw out his original RNC speech and will try to unite the country.

I wonder who the candidate is Thinking

Speculation that Kennedy might be the VP after all. Rubio has been told it won't be him.

what about the reports that it was just glass from the teleprompter?

trump says he was literally shot but he'll say anything

is he permanently missing part of his ear? how much of it?

Unironically, it took me some time to remember who his previous VP was. Blank void of a man.

Yet the only one to stand up when it really mattered. Showmanship doesn't equate to statesmanship.

Pence was a disaster overall and not very intelligent but Trump needed him to win the support of the conservatives who believed he wasn't conservative enough.

J.D. Vance is a smart guy, it's clear that the VC tech wing has now beaten the conservative, establishment and tea party wings of the GOP.
As usual the press did a terrible job covering the power struggle within the Republican party (and it's still partially going on behind the scenes).
As I said before old money vs. new money and a more diverse group of people stand behind Trump now.

It certainly has the Democrats and their dinosaurs shook. They had firmly locked big tech under their woke/DEI/corpo umbrella through Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Apple. All that money, data and tech flowing into the Obama and Clinton campaigns. But the new generation of entrepeneurs figured out on time that the deck was stacked against them, their freedom, achievements and innovation. I wonder if Musk calculated this when he did those mass lay-offs at Twitter. Maybe he knew that the other CEOs devoid of any ideas of their own would follow suit and that would open up a big number of highly intelligent people to the truth that they were better off outside the corpo cults and communes of Facebook and Microsoft.

Let's hope Vance can right the mistakes of the Sillicon Valley sell outs like Zuckerberg and Tim Cook. Wrestle tech free from the bureaucrats and corpo suits.

If Steve Jobs was alive today, he'd probably be backing RFK Jr. though.

Terrible VP choice that compounds Trump's upcoming problems in the suburbs on election night. If this is a turnout election with one side having a full ground game/early voting/multiple governors in place to keep poll sites effective/etc...vs another side with no ground game and limited early voting infrastructure...dems win. Just gotta get Biden out of here first...

Weird that the "VC tech wing" is winning when it results in the top two spots on the ticket being guys who oppose capitalism and free speech. hmm
