AOC's lil statement is weird. 

Every politico who has mentioned that "the elites" want Biden out has been rightfully and roundly mocked, but suddenly she reiterates the same sentiment and people are like "oh, hm...good point. Maybe the elites have it out for...*checks notes*...JOE BIDEN who has been in US politics for more than half a decade"

I expect she's just playing politics (i.e. "dear party leadership, I know how to and am willing to play ball"), but people took her statement with a lot more weight than so many other people who are ostensibly Ridin for Biden.

Do they really think that the Khive won't go apeshit and that people will raise serious questions about the current President and Vice President if the party considers them both 'unfit' to run for office. Apart from the fact that she polls worse than Biden in important states quite a few in the party leadership and cabinet think Kamala isn't fit for the presidency at all based on her performance as VP.

I just think polling for anyone not named Biden or Trump doesn’t mean much at this point. They’re not out there stumping, campaigning, making a case, etc. Regardless of if its good or bad, the public profile and sense of reality is just different. I’m sure Tom Hanks would dominate in some theoretical poll, but once he’s on the campaign trail, who knows how that would go?

Anyway I am more upset at this kabuki theater around who it should be. I was never the biggest Kamala supporter to begin with, but the whole point of a ticket is that you are voting for a president AND their possible replacement. It’s cut and dry IMO. All this talk about whoever else sounds way more like Deep State controlling the chessboard than anything someone can suggest about Biden stepping down.
