Nope none from this year of app dating. 

Closest was the Latina in February, kinky redhead in July and the Rugby player in October.

With the Latina I ran into the nanny time limit on the 1st date. The redhead had a rough day at the ICU and the rugby player hit her 1st date 'boundary' for a serious relationship. 

The female "friends" culture is really the big change in this dating era. The girls 'date' with their friends: dinners, travel, drinks, movies, dancing etc. the activities they would normally do with their boyfriend. So partnering up with 1 guy and leaving 4 or 5 friends, some other FWBs and "travel"(i.e. discrete overseas fucking) behind is not something they want to do. It's why so many 'good' guys have checked out there are few single women (if any) in western culture that don't live by the rules of 'female empowerment' and prefer fuckbois as they offer the masculine energy their female friends can't. It's why being a good man, their best friend or nice guy doesn't work anymore they have plenty of friends.

If you're out there looking for a suitable wife to have kids and a happy family with in 2025 and you don't catch her before she starts to live 'independent' you're screwed.

For some reason I was reminded today that we had one of these in my elementary school bathroom. Even at the time, and even as children, we all thought it seemed outdated as fuck.

There was in fact one in one of our elementary school bathrooms too but it got replaced with three urnals one summer.

One place I've still run into these is smaller stadiums, like universities that haven't built a new one in decades or the old ones they use for women's sports. I know they used to be in larger stadiums because of other things or people talking about them but I have to imagine most any major sports team is on their third or fourth publicly funded stadium at this point so you probably can't find one by going to say, Ford Field or Staples Center. Though part of me feels like Steve Ballmer may have demanded they be in the Intuit Dome.

Well this was the best Hans Zimmer concert so far. Amazing performances of nearly all the songs and the selection was great.

Set 1 is better balanced than set 2. 1 has a nice build up from Man of Steel to Gladiator in terms of pacing. While set 2 is kind of random from Inception to Pearl Harbor and from F1 to DUNE again.  

Notably absent were Tina Guo and the Flute Guy. But I'm not sure if Tina still rolls with the Zimmer band.
Most if not everyone else was there. Lebo M + daughter, Mariko Muranaka, Lissa Gerard, Loire Cotler, Molly Rogers, Rusanda etc.
Another small letdown is that Dark Knight is now just the Ambient intro. He no longer does the full medley. No Top Gun either.


At first I was a little bummed out that all my friends were sick or otherwise occupied so I had to go alone but that evaporated as soon as I got there. It was actually very convenient to not have anyone else to worry about.  Not to mention most people didn't really know which song belonged to what movie and once people figured out I was the expert on the movies and music it was a lot of fun. It surprised me how many people didn't recognize anything at all. I told the German girl over chat that people kept asking me what the movies were and she said that's because I was the most clever man in the arena. On the first 2 notes or even a certain led color I was like: "Oh that's Davinci code" or "ah they're going to do Dune" and people were like, "wait, really, how can you tell?". To my suprise F1 was part of the line-up and nobody had seen that film or knew it had a Zimmer soundtrack. Davinci code was also one that the 20 people around me didn't recognize. Bunch of people turned and looked at me like "Ok, tell us what that was". Floor seats very close the stage, apart from one old guy almost none taller as me in the rows in front so from row 10 I had a fantastic view of the entire stage. 

Tried to pick up a date at the concert but none worked out. The last of 3 cold approaches was the most succesful. Girl that left the venue and headed back on the same train as me. She fell asleep 2 seats next to me so I woke her up to ask if she wasn't going to miss her stop or miss out on me. She laughed and appreciated me waking her up but she had to go all the way to Amsterdam we chatted a bit about the concert but there was nothing more to it. She was either swiss or german, English with a heavy german accent.

Well 2 date things planned for the weekend.

The woman organizing the singles event messaged me back personally that I can just walk in. She has about 40 sign ups so far mostly from their community and some are staying for dinner after. She offered a 50% discount if I stay for dinner too. Not expecting much just wanna try one of these out to see what the vibe and selection is and if it's worth it to sign up for things like these. On their website I can tell from pics of previous events that the split is roughly 75/25 with a surplus of women some certainly cute. The men apart from some guys the type that won't get any matches on apps and certainly don't travel to Canada or go to Hans Zimmer concerts.
