They realize this (at least the people with brains) but they need to keep pushing it because they still hate Rowling and cannot accept they fucked up the hate campaign against her. If they do, they realize their methods don’t work as well anymore and the community needs to change to regain acceptance. And don’t want change after a decade of bullying everyone.

Hogwarts Legacy's success proves that the whole hate campaign against Rowling for being a TERF is just a loud group online that doesn't reflect real-life. These people congregate on their forums and social media to do their virtual book burnings but normal people simply do not care about Rowling's views in the context of Harry Potter or even worse, potentially agree with her.
