Not really, as they've evidently fostered an environment where people feel confident in sexually assaulting colleagues without repercussion, and victims don't feel like they can speak out.

No. If you don't report a sexual assault because they didn't fire a guy for watching Tim Pool videos then you're a fucking idiot.* One is someone having different political beliefs than the rest of the office, the other is someone committing an actual crime. Something Larian could even be potentially investigated for if they just try to brush it off. But hey cool, now all we have to go on is the word of a bluesky weirdo with no papertrail at all. I've said it before but when a company is both immoral and worse than the competition boycotting becomes subconsciously easy. There's no games I care for, Linux only got easier, ai is used in every future release, and PlayStation has its own gamepass without the blood. It's just so easy to boycott, I'd do it even if there wasn't a moral reason to do so at this point

The latest chemo therapy we're trying on our cat to make her skin cancer go away. She's had two previous treatments which haven't helped :(

She's 18 and it's clear between side effects of meds and her pawing at the growth to agitate it, her daily experience isn't great. Our oncologist is going to try a couple of other therapies in the coming weeks but if nothing changes and surgery isn't an option, I can't possibly make her continue like this until she passes from other causes, so we might have to make the tough decision next month or Feb.

Chemo therapy on an 18 year old cat? Put the poor thing out of its misery.

I honestly don't get it because I'd much prefer being tested as I don't think my CV accurately depicts my capabilities at anything. Like I list I can use Excel or whatever but so do people who can't even really use it for anything. One time I had to take some basic tests for a thing, typing, Word, Excel, etc. And I like busted all the scores because the system only scored you up to a certain point (like it maxed at 70 wpm) so it just said "MAX / MAX / MAX / MAX / MAX" on the printout.  I'm not going to put on my resume "greatest person to use Excel ever" to differentiate from the people who say they can use Excel because they took a course in High School that had three weeks on it.

Plus the "nepo baby" complaints from PlanetSmasher make no sense, the tests are an objective way to reject those people. Without tests, it's far easier to simply give them the jobs than some random.

i think there is a difference between supporting someone like blow and supporting someone like jkr. jkr has been highly influential with her hateful shit. blow also has shitty opinions, but i don't think he has really been influential at all. i don't think a single person really follows him for his political opinions, or is in any way persuaded by his uncharismatic ass

The difference between JKR and Blow is that Blow is openly being an asshole while amassing his fame and fortune, and people are openly supporting that because he is "smart" and once made some puzzle games they liked. Attempting to contrast Blow with the most vile person on earth also does Blow no favours here.

If you read threads like this and give a dollar to Jonathan Blow, you are knowingly giving a dollar to someone who thinks women are inferior and thinks Trump is a good president.
