His strategy of focusing on podcasts/alternative media instead of traveling across the early primary states early is paying off. Meanwhile DeSantis is almost looking like he's being sabotaged. As for the general election, with Logan, Rogan, Tate etc. the bro culture is so popular right now that it might just narrowly swing the election in Trumps favor but again these aren't reliable voters by any means. They're taking a huge gamble not doubling down on the boomer vote.

First step: DeSantis mocks Trump at every turn. Call him fat, a buffoon, say he had to buy his wife from Eastern Europe because no American woman would have him, mock his bankruptcies, say he couldn't manage a household budget letalone a national one. Give it all. Strongly imply that Melania wants the "D" in DeSantis. Mock Trump as a bad loser. Say he lost the 2020 election because he was incompetent and people hated him. Say even the Republicans hate him.
Second step: Don't say a fucking word about yourself. The more DeSantis talks about himself, the more ammo Trump has to mock him.
Third step: ...
Fourth step: You're president my man.



But seriously, Trump does these guys in because they try traditional campaign techniques of talking about their positives. Trump just mocks them and wins the meme points by making them look ridiculous. He turns his biggest weaknesses into strengths. If DeSantis wants to win, he has to make Trump look stupid and ridiculous.

Honestly I think Trump may be veering too close to the sun with the attacks. He's basically hurling insults at anyone who supports DeSantis, including the important governor of Iowa. Campaign also seems kind of aimless right now beyond just defending himself from legal issues. He needs to really start talking about a vision. All DeSantis has is person of gender shit. When Trump was talking about building new cities a few months ago I thought my god...that's brilliant (for a Trump promise that will never happen lol). Get back to that. 

DeSantis is a terrible candidate and clearly losing but the danger in my eyes is that he wins Iowa. Trump didn't win that state last time, I doubt he does this time either due to the religious vote. If DeSantis wins the first contest he gets to claim that Trump's early lead is over, he's the new frontrunner etc. The best alternative would be for some other candidate to win Iowa and then fizzle out. 

Also I think it's a mistake that Trump plans on skipping the first debate.
