Dutch politics aren't much better. Our government can't even agree on a budget within the coalition, let alone with opposition parties they need to get enough support. The new prime minister is invisible and useless. However a lot of brainwashed woke commies here so a new election result probably won't be a better outcome.

The Left winning the Berlin elections had some hilarious consequences. Not only did one of the most infamous Arab kingpins visit their election party on Sunday, another guest was Ibrahim Ibrahim, well known Hamas supporter and member of a terrorist organization. On top of that, they had music acts shouting "Death to the IDF" and "Yalla Yalla Intifada". At their election party. Because of that transparent antisemitism, Nazi comparisons suddenly pop up everywhere. What a lot of people haven't even noticed yet, Die Linke is the exact same party as the SED, just with a new name. And I mean that literally. They're not just similar or a new party founded by former SED members, not a legal successor - they are the same legal entity. That party was once the closest ally to the PLO, and one of, if not their main weapons supplier. After the Munich terror attacks, the GDR supported the Palestinians, and SED boss Honecker and PLO leader Arafat signed a treaty in the GDR just a few months later.
Add the nationalization rhetoric and some other shit, and it's really no wonder "If not Nazi, then why Nazi shaped?" suddenly pops up. Focus on short term goals and the things you enjoy rather than building anything that lasts or things for the greater good. I don't think people want to go back to woke and are willing to suffer some higher pricing for it especially those that benefit from the AI market boom.
The way I see it is that they poll those that still believe in the fairy tales of left wing politicians or old people that vote for each party regardless. I don't think they have an eye on Asmongold viewers and such. There is no supression on right wing content anymore. All the left can do is label it radical right or extreme right and no one really cares and they watch it anyway. The feminist movement is also having a bit of trouble to sell the 20 year olds on the ideas that they see haven't worked for the millenial women around them who are "single", childless and actually not super happy. The lower classes have long given up on this racket anyway so it's all about who the middle and especially upper class vote for.

My hunch is this plague thing and the fuel crisis is going to get worse. Not as bad as COVID but still bad.
The EU pressured by Ukraine might decide to not buy diesel and oil from the US as that could be Russian diesel and oil and that means supply rationing and mandatory WFH. Measures that were already considered in case the Hormuz strait remained closed. |
