Maximumzero used to post on the Penny Arcade forums, I used to lurk there way back when and it was proto Resetera in many ways.
Maxyboy was an annoying little shit, he was a hardcore Nintendo fanboy in the Andrew Dobson sense where he was incredibly fucking smug about it and would talk down to others that didn't agree with him in a manner not dissimilar to Jeff. My favorite example being a Project M thread, a fan mod for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he got incredibly butthurt that anyone would dare to alter the game, as clearly since it came from Nintendo it was perfect in every aspect, calling others in the thread entitled for not wanting to play Brawl and Emperor God King Sakurai had envisioned. Moderation had to specifically tell him to knock it off or get banned. Imagine being such an obnoxious Nintendo fan that other tendies can't stand you.
