not that i noticed. i was at plenty of off the beaten path places, but also not making a fool of myself so that probably helped. the only awkward moment was when i accidentally stumbled onto a funeral while wandering around waiting for a cafe reservation time to hit. was just walking around and then saw a bunch of people gathered together and decided to see what was going on. once i got closer i just backed away and went back to the cafe to wait outside lol

Asked beer wine or cocktails. I said she forgot about the champagne but for now beer, wine or cocktails will do.

She's going to pick a place and everything. We'll see if she follows through on it all.

To my surprise she checked back in around lunchtime to suggest we'll just meet at a statue in her town tommorow and figure it out from there.
Did my due dilligence for a good cocktail and wine place so we won't be aimlessly loitering.

I think we'll get along well based on the "we'll just figure it out" attitude we share Trumps

Oh she has 2 sick co-workers so can't make it tonight. Rescheduled to wednesday.

Anyway already reserved parking so might go out anyway and hang at the bar.
Sucks I was looking forward to this and in a good mood.

Might move to friday/sunday plans only going forward.
Weekday plans usually don't pan out.

Ended up staying for drinks at the office. Tried a bunch of belgian beers a client gifted us, good stuff.

Took a day off from the gym to recover. The training from monday was moved to tuesday and I couldn't fully finish it. My arms can handle more but I need to watch my back. Also moved some furniture around last weekend. The PT is going to change the schedule a bit to make my back stronger. My left arm was the weakest link before that is nearly even with my right arm now.

We've ran the numbers my strength has about tripled in ~6 months.
I started this in june. September the old trainer quit and it took a couple of weeks before we started again.

It's funny though I was chatting with the German chick bit more flirty than usual. Still 5 - 10 minutes before she replied.
Until I shared the latest gym gains, within a nanosecond she messaged back.  lol

With some dudes and gals hitting the casino next Trumps

As I was walking the beach I figured, why not hit the bar alone at this point. So I order some special belgian beers see where it gets me.

Scene 1: Nintex and the photographer. We have the same first name.

- creative fellow, good convo. 50, shares his relationship woes. Invested a lot, dropped like a rock when he shared his feelings.
Gives me good advice as how to handle my new matches. Shares some numbers of investors and a business coach.

Scene 2: Guys playing darts

- Guy #1: I build yachts for Jeff Bezos what's your game? AI, damn that's so cool.

- Gal: ok this guy is pretty cool you want to hang out with us?

- Guy #2: not sure if he's "one of us" with the glasses and all...

- Gal: Seriously just talk to this guy babe

- Guy #2: damn I'd vote for you bro

Scene 3: Nintex at the casino

Nintex: "Lol guys how does this work."

Guy #1: "hahahaha lmao good luck Nintex"

gal: "how the fuck did you know it would be 7 red Nintex"

Casino guy: "that's just beginners luck"

Guy #2: "right now it's 10 black he didn't get that one... just beginners luck"

Casino guy: "13 black, 10 red... ... no way.... no fucking way dude"

Guy #1: "14 red... ... ok... that's just... fuck"

Gal: "ok I'm doing what you're doing Nintex...."

Casino guy: "Ok we're closing last round"

Guy #2: "no fucking way 34 red... how the fuck do you get the number and the color"

Nintex: "Is this the pay out button?"

Start with 10, walk out with 200

Girl: "damn this guy"

Guy #2: "Fuck man, you are chill dude we visit this place every friday, you game?"

Gal: "Bumble? That's for coffee dates. Just go on Tinder. Add a shirtless pic. You're like a 8."

Went to Disneyland and genuinely enjoyed it. In my defense, I didn’t pay for anything.

Compared to Florida Disney in the 2000s, some noted differences. Very easily accessible. About 15 minutes train ride from Tokyo station. Seemingly inexpensive. Reasonable wait times (5 to 20 minutes).

Mostly, it was that the Disney super fans were outwardly normal. You’d see women in their 30s, well dressed, kept, not fat, suddenly take out a multi thousand dollar camera and lens to zoom in on Minnie Mouse’s right foot.

Date this afternoon. The girl wanted to call because she felt I was somewhat cryptic over text.

Maybe I would struggle on the phone and was only a good texter but she said: Oh I just answered my own question.

Overall I should use more voice messages and calls. I get more immediate feedback and build that comfort level on the spot like I do on my sales calls.
not having an agenda works well though.

But I need to keep reminding myself. Most of these girls have no sense of style/art/aesthetics, that's their photographer or the Instagram filter doing the work. Not to mention copy paste bios they take from Reddit.

Discussed this with the photographer at the bar actually. 99% of people operate on the basic principe of monkey see, monkey do.
They just want the haircut of Taylor Swift or whatever or stand in the spot that's marked for travelers.

It was a nice walk but not much of a date. Figured as much based on how she communicated. She was also very specific as to what she is after. She lives in the same house with her twin sister and her sisters boyfriend is now trying to move out with her sister. Guy made it out of the friendzone after 7 months or rather he thinks they've been dating for 10 months and she thinks it has just been 3 months and they were "just friends". Sounded like a whole bunch of drama I have no interest in. The slow pace was strange but made sense after meeting her. Monkey see, monkey do. She's trying to emulate her sister.

The sunday beach walks are over as 1st dates for now. I'll aim for saturday nights and other moments when the energy is better.

Because she was 90 minutes late I had time to clean up. Asked the German girl what she thinks about the new set-up. No more dining table, cabinet turned into a wine bar, the works. She rewarded my efforts with some new pictures.  lol

fwiw i did a lot of hiking and museums but also spent a decent amount of time shopping.

For the world baseball classic it’s cheaper for me to fly to Tokyo from the US, stay in a hotel, and go to the baseball games instead of going to see it somewhere in the us. And then I get to hang out in Tokyo afterwards!

new rule of thumb don't turn it into da vinci code. She noted the square had more than one statue but she'd figure it out. In reality there is one statue and some abstract art pieces.
So I just picked the main one and told her we shouldn't go full da vinci code.

Just as I locked this down another one that cancelled last week came back to ask how my weekend was.
Told her about the casino and she was wondering if I had won anything. I'll check later if she wants to bring luck on friday or saturday.
