I'm surprised no one argued to remove that character. Not only makes it your game a blatant target, it's hardly a character I can imagine people truly desire to see. Even on Resetera I have not seen anyone excited about that character. On top of that, the design of the character is just completely inconsistent with the rest of the designs, her head is so tiny it looks absurd.

I guess either someone from the higher ups truly believes into this 400 pound woman or they'd be afraid that if they remove her someone leaks it to the press and it causes a "Sony removes overweight woman from game" scandal

The fascism has been visible within technological spaces for awhile for anyone who has been paying serious attention, so this little revelation slipping out was fully believable. Prey on them early and often, and get them to see abuse as compassion. Video games are the perfect insidious vector for this.

When you start to see a ton of modern video game and technological design as reflections and systemizations of abuse and oppression, it isn't much of a shock/leap in logic to see the broader culture-at-large begin to bend to the abusive psychic environments.

Every single thread for Europeans and Canadians has some American saying "I'm just a bystander and not the bully". In first grade of school they teach you that bystanders are just as guilty as bullies. Dismissive attitude towards an issue as serious as splitting up a country seems incredibly inappropriate.
