So, last week I was playing magic the gathering at my local games club, it's set in what would be best described as a cafeteria, it had a wooden floor and big foldable tables in it.

Well, someone took it upon themselves to try lifting and putting away one such table by themselves, and inevitably struggled, at the time I was playing a game and wasn't really paying attention, when I heard the most awful noise as the table hit the ground full force.


If your average loud bang is a 7 this felt like a 14, and while everyone was a little caught off guard, I must have sensitive ears because it sort of hurt.

Well, as it turns out I was right, the noise this made despite me not being directly next to it or even the closest to it, damaged my eardrum which apparently now has a small scar.

You just wouldn't think that was possible normally, but it's quite eye opening (or ear opening I suppose) anyway, thought I'd share.

Era members are emotionally and physically fragile.

Also, how is this a public service announcement?  I'm not sure how you could avoid hearing a loud bang from somebody accidentally dropping something.

They've been trying to manufacture consent at hyperspeed since they elected the pedophile again, and not even these spaces are safe from it. We had a guy in our Canada community thread get banned for a week simply because he told Canadians to not take the bait in this thread (which was only overturned hours later because of how many complaints they got). It's all so transparent.

Regardless of how tomorrow's Gold medal Men's Hockey match goes, it will be the same things in this thread again and none of it will get actioned.

You can be in support of IVF and not be a natalist. It's very common actually and we should normalize the practice as many people need to use it if they want to have children. Sharma kinda veers into the natalist rhetoric by worrying about birth rates and such, so I get the concern behind it as it can create a slippery slope, but talking about declining birth rates in general doesn't make you a eugenicist. Basically just be normal when talking about people having kids and how they do it.
