I'm all for violent protests. Some protesters set the Marseille public library on fire though, that's not right. There are some buildings that should be off limits, like hospitals, schools and public libraries.

I wouldn't be surprised if the people who did this were right wing extremists trying to make the protests look bad.

Anyway, I respect how the French are willing to fight for what's right, were are incredibly docile in Portugal despite having soooo many reasons to be angry.

About a year and a half ago my wife and I decided to move into a bigger house to accommodate our second kid on the way. We had saved enough money so we get a really nice house for about 300k in a decent neighborhood (I live in Kansas, where 300k goes a long way). The neighborhood seemed very nice, and it is, except for the house right across from us.

Since moving in there have been three drive by shootings that I'm aware of, two shootings inside the house, at least ten ambulance visits (not exaggerating at all), a swat team raid, several brawls, random screaming in the middle of the night, and two instances of animal control taking pitbulls that were terrorizing the neighborhood and putting them down. The main guy that lived there was murdered in Kansas City with a suspect at large so we thought our woes were over, until low and behold this morning about fifteen shots right outside my living room and a car zooming off.

Police come every time, collect evidence (in today's case bullet casings), and leave never to be heard from again until the next incident.

Before you say "move", just know it's not that easy. It seems like everywhere we move to there are shootings and bad neighbors. I'm so depressed about it and I don't want my kids to grow up in this kind of environment but I also just don't know what to do or where to go. Literally we've lived in four different places and they've all had how neighbors, but this one by far takes the cake

Is this like, common for anyone else? How do you stay sane?

With self-declared brain genius man Elon Musk now essentially paralyzing Twitter with his inane policy decisions, I wonder what gaming companies who rely on Twitter announcements will do moving forward now that the platform is practically unusable. Assuming Musk does not waver in his policy changes, where will game companies go to share information to their millions of followers? Where will we first hear of the next Nintendo Direct officially from Nintendo for example? Will they just upload a video or a community post on YouTube? Sony and Microsoft have also been especially active on Twitter, so their current marketing strategy would have been upended with Twitter no longer being a viable option. While I know there's other platforms they share content on, Twitter has always been the most convenient and efficient to deliver the headliners, so to speak.
