I think the problem they haven't quite realized is, that as far as I can tell, "female gaze" as a concept pretty much excludes the idea of sexualization. You can't be sexualized and female gazy, it's an oxymoron.

Echos I think has a proper understanding of what the concept should mean, but he doesn't realize that's already been ruled verboten on the forum. In theory, a female gaze should just emphasize different forms of objectification than the male gaze does. But they've pretty much written that out because there being differences between the sexes is wrongthink and the "male gaze" tag has been used as part of the jihad against any unapproved forms of sexualization or objectification. Unless you're transitioning between them which is possible (source: IT guy for a sheriff department) and anyone who claims it can't be done is against science. But also all kinds of male posters can spend years identifying uses of the "male gaze" and Messofanego can even show visual examples anyone can understand but which don't meet his definition of the concepts. Also we have the infamous attack they made on high heels in Diablo when women were expressing their interest in their characters having them. (Something Patty Jenkins repeats in Messofanego's own source. )

The comparison really makes no sense, he's just trying to bring up a "Bad Guy" but didn't want to use the standard Hitler example. Both Biden and Netanyahu are state leaders whose states actions would have not really changed much with a different leader from the expected ones in their place. al Qaeda pretty much wouldn't exist without bin Laden bankrolling it and the circles someone of his stature could gain access to. Also, al Qaeda was never an existential or any kind of military threat to America, either the US or Israel could easily just vaporize Palestine practically overnight. Even our Great Zionist Satan hasn't launched a comparable assault on the other half of Palestine. Are we reading different threads? The vast majority of people in this thread aren't defending Joe Biden or saying that his involvement in the Palestinian genocide isn't something that should be argued.

People are taking issue with celebrating him dying from a disease that they have personal experience with. People who know the impact of watching their loved ones die from cancer. But you do you, doesn't change the fact that your original comment is fucking insane and detached from reality.
