And folks, my father-in-law was very strange by American standards. Sure, he did the normal weird dad stuff like go to the hardware store to buy an outdoor shed, look at the prices, and decide "I can do it myself for cheaper." But he also did weird foreigner stuff like make an "ice cream sandwich" using two pieces of bread. So, naturally, his clientele was mostly "people who did not speak English." I can only imagine he must have been the weird guy in the office.

I am struggling to understand if the implication here is that this dude was making sopping wet and leaking ice cream sandwiches in front of his clientele, or what?

If he's tormenting his family privately with this behavior, then what does it matter? If he's doing it in front of prospective home buyers, then what's capitalism got to do with anything?

I was thinking about this too, what do you think is the best method?

I was picturing toast, but then that's warm and the ice cream melts instantly into a giant mess

I think a strong sourdough or french toast type bread would hold together ok

french toast infused with some syrup and ice cream would probably taste good regardless of how well it works

The best moderation remains as self moderation. We understand your frustrations but blasting someone who will unlikely ever read your comment here is not a reason to make the place unwelcoming to others. If you see a friend post it, tell them to edit it. If its gone by the time a moderator reviews the report we're all good.

Asking people to protest their fascist leader is bad advice and not going to help anyone. I apologize for stating otherwise, it was silly of me.

Honestly though? Using vague "minorities" as a shield from criticism here is incredibly manipulative. If every priviliged white person who spends their days online spouting how much they hate trump would be out on the streets, there would already be millions of people protesting. In every single country I just mentioned, there are and were minorities suffering. This isn't about any minorities doing anything, this is about the majority getting their asses up. Trying to act like those other people outside the US somehow had it easier or that they were suffering less than US Americans do right now, which just doesnt allow them to follow up their constant online outrage with political action on the streets, is beyond ignorant and self-absorbed.

No offense but it's incredibly disheartening to see this response. Our countries are going to shit because of a vote americans made and as a response to calling our supposed allies out for their apathy and lack of action we get this response. Hiding it behind minorities is even more disappointing.

And yet demanding for violent coup in the states is not going to accomplish anything. Please note that we aren't saying to not demand protest, not demand action. The staff post is quite clearly about violent coups.

Using it toward another user will result in a severe ban, no less than one month, with a potential permanent ban on the table if the user it is pointed at is a woman.

I don't recall ever seeing someone there call another member a cunt, but if they did I can totally see a situation of someone quickly changing or adding their gender on their profile to get someone a more sever ban.

It's something I've been wondering. Shouldn't college kids be absolutely enraged by some of the stuff going on? Like cutting aid to the global south or getting out of various initiatives to combat climate changes? Or the trans stuff? Where are the encampments? 

For whatever reason, Palestine is always to one thing that gets a ton of traction on college campus.
