I can't believe it's that time again but extremely happy we're finally entering this holy month. Best time of the year to just reset the mind and soul. Ramadan Mubarak to all, hope you have a blessed month and I make duah that Allah grants us to reap the most rewards so that we may leave this month better people and Muslims than we entered it In Sha Allah.

I'm not Muslim but have purchased a beautiful Study Quran and am hoping to dive into it soon. I refuse to be told to be afraid of a religion.

The social media I engage is rarely social for me anymore. Meaning, I remember at Facebook's "cultural" peak in the mid 2000s. It was hip and new. Before all the crazies got on.

People actually shared stuff, commented on stuff, socially. I would remember pretty big threads with my friend groups.

FB is Boomer central now. No one comments. No one even uses the Relationship Status feature too. Remember that?

People moved to Instagram. But IG is a weird voyeuristic place. People post stories, but there's not interaction much. It's just watching people's lives lol.

I've never really been "social" on Twitter that subsequent Twitter clones--Blue Sky, Threads, and Mastodon, either.

My most "social" app is my Messages app on iPhone. Also Discord and Slack (personal groups).

As recently as 2014 NPR Black producers were still calling him Stokely Carmichael.  When did "Brother Ture." become the thing to call him?
