So you find yourself being thrown (or jumping) out of a window, landing on a train below, being chased by three Oompa-Loompas armed with knifes who jump onto the train to finish you off. Suddenly half the factory explodes as a tsunami of chocolate smashes out and chases you and the train as one big tidal wave. Then Wonka chases you as well in his wonkavator, firing sharp chocolate arrows from his musket. That is until the train enters a tunnel and the wonkavator hit this to ceiling and goes out of control, flying down the tunnel before exploding into an ever growing fiery ball of death.

So you're on the train, fighting off three Oopma-Loompas, being chased by a tidal wave of chocolate which is following by an explosion.

I loved Mad Men and watched it religiously when it was airing. I always knew it was a no-holds barred depiction of the 50's, with all of its warts. Now when I'm rewatching it though, so much of the content is just painfully horrible.

It's not like the show is condoning or endorsing any of it. It's very clear that almost everybody in the show living according to the traditions and norms of the time, are also deeply unhappy and frustrated people. Everyone is racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobic, xenophobic, antisemitic, and just generally awful people with outdated views, but they're all also incredibly unsatisfied and always on the brink of having a nervous breakdown.

Maybe it's because I've grown and become more sensitive, but the honesty and realism of the time period just hits so much harder now than it did back when it first aired. It's like when you end up on the wrong type of forum and see people post shit that makes your stomach churn, thinking "how can people be this evil?"

With the closing of Monolith and cancellation of Wonder Woman I think it's even more imperative that DC starts to license out their IP to other devs, either by creating their own publishing label or by just doing it through WB. They have to find a way to get their characters out there without the need to go through WB internally.

Marvel Rivals just fired their USA staff. Is not comparable with the catastrophic closing of Monolith given what we know about Rivals US staff, but is clear Marvel/Disney could care less about the devs.  


I hoped that WB games didn’t make the same mistakes that Disney past ventures in vidja did, but change in leadership and clueless executives always fucks shit up.

WB's mismanagement of it's IP's has been palpable, especially when it comes to DC. With the new boom of DC Studios and it's DCU, it's time for DC Gaming to get it's own publishing label.

Something needs to happen. Whether it's WB or DC Games or whatever they want to call it. That level of negligence of one of your premiere franchises is truly something to behold.

Absolutely they should be doing that.

In fact I'm kinda surprised why they not doing that.
So many IPs that could be licensed that I bet many studios would love to have.
