If you want freedom, you take it. You build it. You start alone or you find others that want the same thing. And then you keep working at it, you make programs, you help your community, and you show off the results, and you be prepared for when those oppressors and their sympathizers still married to the system either mock you for daring to try, or sic the State on you to kick down your sandcastle. And then you rebuild it again with new knowledge, and you do so in solidarity and optimism.

 

Frankly Era is not the place for meaningful discussion on these issues, both by design and because of the population that visits here, to the point that I don't really know why I waste time in such an environment typing out my knowledge and feelings. I am still prone to reactionary and useless habits myself, I suppose; everyone has room to grow. If nothing else sinks in, then take this with you:

You don't need the Democrats to feed someone. Just go down to a soup kitchen. Or be kind one day and buy a meal for the guy on the street. Or ask your neighbors if they want to have dinner with you. There you go. You've just made the world better. Doesn't matter that it was small.

One of the few great things about the US system is you do have a say on who represents your party at the very base level, things work very differently in Canada for example, so you should cherish that one great thing.

Has Nep ever articulated a plan that has actual political meaning?  Charity and local volunteering is nice and all, but what the fuck does it have to do federal politics? How does it get 41 Senators to vote against cloture?
