Random Talk
Booked the restaurant and she accepted. We'll meet up at the lighthouse and walk along the coast to the restaurant so I can see just how fit and clumsy she is and to break the ice.

I see now that with 24F, 32F and some others I went along too much with their chit chat, problems (and insecurity) and gave them too much in exchange for nothing. Although I kept it respectful and all I'm still kind of surprised how much this woman tossed into the bin so easily yesterday as I presented the terms of her surrender, which she jumped on instantly and thanked me for.

The only thing she insisted on was white wine instead of red after I gave her a little nugget that red was my favorite color in the dinner invite.

I hope she is just as fun and has the same shameless 'you just do the thinking for me, thank you sir' Drool trigger IRL.

Her wine tasting record is 40 wines in 2 hours but you spit them out, if you swallow 3 bottles you won't taste anything anymore.

This is the profound wisdom I need in my life.  lol

Still leading this but it's a challenge not to engage too much so I kept our chat brief.
She said good night, looks forward to our date, the works.

As managers we both like to annoy/mess around with our co-workers. Especially the stupid, jittery and nervous ones.
Carefully explored around some topics to see where she stood so I don't fuck up on the date.

Her level of getting jokes is more or less The Office. She likes: "I read on facebook that wines are healthy"

One more day of work and then we're in the clear.

aaaaand something happened in her family.
She feels really bad about cancelling but it is what it is.

Wished her the best, hopefully we can plan a new date in a week or 2.

what actually happened is that her girlfriends pointed out all the red flags, which is appropriate

I thought you were right but to my surprise she just send that she really appreciates my support and understanding and was happy I'm open to reschedule.
If anything I've gained a few points.

She's 36, she likes my town and I'm pretty sure she wants to settle. I'm a bit out of her league in some ways (income, education, location). She thinks that if she can give me a good time at dinner (and after) she has a shot.

Ever since I got into the 36 bracket on Bumble the vibe is different. They're trying to convince me and I look young for my age which is finally an advantage.
Some dudes around me that used to look better (i.e. more mature) are starting to look rough, wrinkly faces especially. Also many have developed health problems.

Told 37F that it would be difficult long term because of my asthma and her animals but I responded to give her a boost in the algorithm. To my surprise she hasn't broken off things this morning. Appreciated my honesty. She again looks mid, less attractive than 36F. Not fun for dinner type but Netflix and chill? Maybe.

Overall a rollercoaster this week. 32F while I liked her drained my energy. 36F gave me energy.

You really should set a deadline to go on a date. Good or bad. The indecision and failure to progress isn't terribly healthy in the long term. If anything, a bad date helps you understand what you don't want.

Yep, in my overall planning first date was this month, which is either 36F or someone else.

It was very close this time if a close relative of hers hadn't died we'd be having dinner tommorow.

Anyway from this point on we've reached the conclusion of the process for now and I'll stop sharing on this topic.
The profile works, the pictures are good. I know what they like and don't like about me/it and I can work on those things.

Now it's just a numbers game of more matches and asking them out on dates ASAP and also focusing on the things they like about me in other settings (parties, business events, shopping etc.).

The temperature here in WI is 79F, (26C)

The previous high this day was 49F (10C)

We will be back down to 28F (-2C) on Sun

At least I had a chance to open all the windows and blow the stink out.

I’m sure everybody’s parents likes to embarrass them by texting photos from they were younger. Last night I got a set from my advanced academic days. Terrible. Likely well under 150lbs with floofy hair like Timothy Chalamet. Bless muscle memory helping recover from the twink years.

I love dreams and I've developed the ability to control them, they help me to find out what I need to do next and solve logic and problems I'm stuck on.

The key to find out if you're dreaming or not, is to figure out how you got to the place that you are in.
When you are dreaming you won't know how you got there. The first few times you'll wake up and freak out but if you're able to stay calm and don't wake up you can basically do inception.

Another thing that helps is to write short stories right before you go to sleep, it can just be random thoughts jotted down on your phone, there is a big chance your dream will be that story or the topic is somehow included in the dream. But I'm one of those imaginative types that dreams in 4K IMAX. I can't imagine what it is like to dream in black and white or abstract shapes.

Your subconscious is shaming you for never making a move on the crush.

Ordered a new bed today. Wanted something better than the ~7 year old IKEA frame that I have now but nothing too fancy.

Basically this but in black with a more leather-type fabric. Friendly Jewish family has a great shop in my town for beds and at €3200,- with some upgrades from the €2500,- base model a decent price too for the full set with 2 mattresses. They're pretty smart, they have jews and arabs working so production is 7 days a week. Guy already guessed I wanted it in black based on my style.

I was surprised at how much better it felt than my current bed.

They offer complete sleeping tests and everything these days but I just did it old school by trying some different type of beds and mattresses. With my asthma I can't go wild with the fabrics anyway and I don't like very soft beds either. Plus the cleaning robot needs to be able to drive under it. My posture was actually decent, guy was surprised I didn't have any real complaints or trouble getting up or anything. Apparently lots of 30-somethings have all kinds of issues like back pain and whatnot.

I used to have this 'romantic' idea that me and the future gf would go out and buy a new bed together and I'd take the dates to fancy hotels in the area but then I figured, eh I'll just buy something I like and she can pick out a different mattress if she's worth it and at 36/37 it's marginal right
Trumps

Overall I saved a lot of time as of late buying stuff in stores intead of endlessly browsing online and waiting for packages. I just walk up to the sales people, tell them what I want, ballpark budget and I move from there. They just pick the items based on my preferences and I can decide what I like. In stores you usually get a discount too if you buy it right away and don't do the 'let me think on it and return later' routine. Plus you get a way better feeling about the fabrics and products when you actually see them when it comes to clothing, beds etc. . But you do need to reach some kind of upper middle class level for it to work and make small talk with the business owners. This guy gave me a €300 discount because I shared some AI tricks.

Watched The Last Crusade with my best bud he felt pretty bad for me that all the dating plans fell through especially in my birthday week but we had a good time and lo and behold The Last Crusade released 1989, the same year I was born. I told him about the whole thing and had him read some of the chats.

32F Radio girl
He wasn't so sure how much she was willing to put in effort and time. Our best chat from last thursday was great because she put the time in too but the others 'eh' and she was just busy all the time. He thinks the 'I'm wasting your time' break up message was more about her realizing that if it worked out, she wouldn't have the time to make it work anyway plus she forgot my birthday. Also agreed with what Potato said, she'd be a handful. case closed

36F Hotel manager
He thinks that she's really into me and fun as hell and he suspects she'll get back to me once she is done mourning whatever is happening in her family. Basically what I think too.

And finally a hotel manager type somewhat less intelligent woman is the better fit. I cared little that radio girl had a high position I was more interested in her knowledge of music but I was beaming when I told him that 36F could taste 40 wines in 2 hours. If we're both intelligent like with 32F it just ends up in a competition of who can find more references, who can out-sarcasm the other, who has the best political view, who knows how to best solve a problem etc. . With 36F there was an interaction I hadn't seen before my friend pointed out, she liked it when I explained things she didn't understand in simple metaphors. The preference red/white wine was another interesting one, an intelligent person like me would argue about what would taste better with the food and everything while she just went: "Bubbles yay!!!" and send a smug emoji afterwards when I said it was a good idea.
