Okay, well, you know, things are getting progressively worse now with Trump ignoring Judges and I am getting pretty scared and I am starting to feel rather hopeless here. If the law is crumbling then how do we fight back at this point? This man should have been in jail a long time ago but it kinda just seems he gets whatever he wants, so it is pretty demotivating.
I am not sure if I even know what I want anyone to say. I get we are all human, and sometimes we don't have an answer and don't know what to say, especially during such unprecedented times. I am just feeling demotivated you know.

I have never been politically active in my life up until 2024 (I turned 30 in December). Once I heard about project 2025, I knew I had to get out there and vote. It was my first time voting, and you know, I really believed in Harris. When she said, when we fight we win, I would say it with her, but in the end she did not win. I was watching Allan Litchmans live stream on election night. 13 keys guy, he has always been right, but I watched in real time as he became more confused and concerned and scared as he watched Trump grab all the swing states.
The whole thing really effected me. I have not really felt ok since, and so that is why I am demotivated. It just seems like no matter what anyone does, the guy just does it and gets away with it. I am losing my faith I guess? in the system. Everything is broken.

I did not vote in 2020 due to major issues with depression. I was not paying attention to the election at all. I had no idea who was even running against Trump. I should have voted in 2016 or 15? I don't know why I did not. I kind of just figured Hillary would win. My grandfather thought Trump was a clown that could never win. Well, he ended up being wrong. Sorry, I am rambling. In essence, I agree with you. I love music, games, and movies especially a lot of the older ones before I was even born for music and movies thanks to my parents. I'm into old games too. Horror and fantasy are my favorite genre.

I'm not into fighting games unless it's like Super Smash Bros Ultimate. So if that count than I'll want one that has a variety of style and characters like fantasy, cyberpunk, goth, steampunk etc in music and style. A bunch of characters like vampires, werewolves, wizards, cyborgs, knights, witches, demons, angels etc and all kind of other things. I'll still keep straights in just to have a bigger variety but definitely would be including a lot of Bi, lesbian, gay, trans etc characters in the game. Definitely a adventure story mode within the game to make me care for the characters more.

About 2 years ago, I was in a department store, and I saw an 83 inch OLED tv, a Sony, for £4000. I had and still have a 65 inch Sony OLED and I really like it, but I really wanted said tv. I'm on a very limited income, and I don't touch stuff like loans or credit cards/agreements after making some poor very choices about them. So I decided I'd save up for one, which I did, for 2 years. I don't remember off the top of my head what model that tv was, but now there's one I knew I wanted, same size, £3500.

Lot of money to spend on a luxury item, but I saved for it, and last Friday I had saved enough for it, while still having some money left over, so it wasn't like I was spending every single penny I had. But I'm still hesitating, and need to sound it out best as possible


- The main thing thats made me hesitate is the call we had on the same Friday from the management company that owns my building on behalf of an investment firm. They're selling the building and are going to get everyone possible out so they can refurb the flats and increase the rents, and thats gonna include us. So it feels pretty irresponsible to spend all that money when my living situation is so uncertain.

- What's the point of buying the tv, getting it into this building with no lift, and then having to bring it down again in a few months when we leave?

-- Costs more money to buy a new stand for the tv, same issue with bringing it up the stairs, as I don't have a stand big enough for it right now.

- On the other hand, I want the tv, ive been saving for 2 years for it, I want it.

If they refuse to adapt, then as a species, they've brought this fate upon themselves.

Even Wrex, in the first game, acknowledges that the genophage isn't what truly destroyed the Krogan. He points out the same thing I do: his people care more about war than about building a stable society.

And that's without even mentioning their insane reproductive rate—giving birth in batches of hundreds—and their incredibly long lifespans. If just one Krogan has 1,000 babies, then those have 1,000 babies, and so on, their population would explode past a billion in no time.

If the genophage were cured, there would only be two possible outcomes: either mass starvation wipes out most of them, or they set out to conquer the galaxy. Even with Wrex leading them, his authority would always be challenged, and sooner or later, it would all spiral out of control.

Some might call me extreme, but a galaxy without Krogans wouldn't necessarily be worse off. And the same goes for the Batarians.

In finishing my university semester this year, we had to do learning logs for all 4 modules, and the criteria for the learning log said all feedback is welcome and noted. One of my modules, Britain and Europe 1945-2016 was taught by a car who I always got the feeling disliked me. He ignored me constantly, didn't respond to emails, often attributed points I made in class to someone else, even when people said 'Oh actually WriterintheDark said that' he just ignored it. So, I gave feedback expressing my feelings about how he'd been to me in class. I also mentioned its possibly attributable to the difficulties of entirely online learning. I didn't swear, I didn't make any personal aspersions on his character since I don't know the guy outside of university.

I just got a long email from the guy in question, saying he feels hurt by my feedback, noting all the way he feels he was inclusive, and wants to know how I justify feedback like that about him, and also mentioned I have another module about Anglo-American relationships with him this semester coming up.

So what do I do? I don't think anything I said was out of line, and I don't think that making a list or another long email about how I didn't feel he was a good teacher is conducive to good relations either.

I do a module on Anglo-American relations at uni, and since this happens to be a module I know a lot about and don't find very difficult, I've been helping other people from my course with their essays. We've been given a summer deadline for all our work due to covid messing up the year, so although I've done the essay, I haven't yet submitted it because the deadline is in august and I'm gonna go over it again. This guy on my course, I've been trying to help him for 10 days and he doesn't seem to get it? Even very simple concepts that we've gone over like differing Anglo-American attitudes to the Korean War thats the basis of lectures, secondary sources, and the seminars we've done. So he's asked me to send over my assignment, and I've refused to do so, very politely, but said if he likes, I can type up some relevant bulletpoints for him and if he feels ok with it, I'll give what he's written a once-over. He doesn't appreciate my not sending my the assignment and sharing it in the group chat, it seems like other people agree with him?

I'm not in the wrong right? It seems insane to send this to someone I don't know well when I haven't even submitted my own assignment.

My second year of university was a pretty shit year, since it was entirely remote and i don't think they did a good job of it. It was also very stressful with lockdown, family members sick a lot, having very little quiet free space to work on essays. My school within the university was pretty generous, and our deadline for handing everything in without penalties became 9th august, 4 weeks today. The problem is I have done very very little work. I've handed one of the essays in which is a different story, and I've kind of started a couple, aka, not much work at all, on the rest.

In addition, there's two essays left over from first year but they are hardly worth any credit so I'm worrying about them last.

I just got an email from my head of school saying you do not have enough credits to go onto third year, etc. It then goes onto to say, if you do not submit by the 9th, the new date is May 2022, but essentially this will mean you do third year in 2022 not 2021. It will also affect student finance.

So I don't know what to do. I know the obvious answer is 'start working lazy arse' but the problem is i am just not feeling it, at all. I sit down to work, and i just immediately feel drained, like i have nothing to say, even on subjects I'm reasonably confident on, like the America essay questions, or the london on film one.

I don't know what to do basically. Other than getting up and sitting at the table until possibly i feel like writing.

I am the guy who made the thread about having to do a bunch of essays in a very short time to get from second year university into third, which I did, hooray.

Now my term started on the 23rd September and so far I have attended zero classes. This semester is 12 weeks, so its 5 weeks of classes so far. All my lectures and reading material are online now, so I am doing my best to keep up online, though not well tbh. My mental health isn't great, my mum has been really sick and still is, and I've been finding it next to impossible to motivate myself to do university work. I have 3 modules this semester, and so far only one of the class tutors has been emailing me about my non attendance, which is my special subject.

Basically, i don't know what the fuck to do, i feel exhausted even though I've done very very little work on it. I have no social contacts on campus at all, i haven't made any friends or even people i know. I have Asperger's which makes social stuff difficult anyway, and honestly lockdown made it much much worse. It's a long commute as well, more than an hour, and i find it difficult to even think about. I fucking dread the idea of going anywhere near the campus.

So anyway, I could use some advice on what to do. I know in theory i should take a break from uni for now, but i don't want to. For financial reasons, and the fact I'm 28 years old, nearly 29, and I feel like a big stupid idiot who took so long to get to university and can't handle 3 classes a week like a fucking idiot. I'm considering asking to do online classes, but i suppose i want to know, am I too late to pull it back for my work? I didn't feel like i did, but now i can't decide, i just feel shit about it.

My life is a complete and utter shit show right now. Some of it is self inflicted, some of it is otherwise. But I'm a complete standstill, and I don't know what to do.

I'm austistic, what they used to call Aspergers Syndrome. It used to be much more manageable when I was a teenager I think, but since then it's gotten much worse. I haven't spoken to anyone but my family in years. I haven't done a social thing in longer than that. I don't know what I want in that aspect, but something more than I have now.

But the biggest issue all comes round to university. I started university in the autumn of 2019, and it was ok to start with. I'm not good at being social, but I went in every day, mostly kept up with my assignments. Then covid and lockdown happened. My university went online at the beginning of the pandemic and stayed 90% online all the way through to my final year. And I let it slip, big time. I fucked it up so badly. I don't think they communicated with me, but equally I didn't communicate with them, so thats on me. Missed so much work, missed my dissertation, so in the end while I technically graduated, I didn't get a degree, I got some shitty certificate in the post. I haven't even told my family yet cos I'm ashamed, because I failed, again. Absolute loser.

I even used to exercise fairly regularly, go the movies a lot, but I don't even do that now. I mostly just sit at home, and watch YouTube, play video games. I don't really have much to offer anyone. I don't mean that in a self pitying way. I mean when I speak to my family, they usually have anecdotes about their lives, their partners, etc. I have nothing to share, so I end up saying nothing. I know it's sad, and I need to do something about it, but ive no idea what. I'm stuck. Just a big loser. I don't even know what advice I want here, just something to remind myself I still exist.

About 2 years ago, I was in a department store, and I saw an 83 inch OLED tv, a Sony, for £4000. I had and still have a 65 inch Sony OLED and I really like it, but I really wanted said tv. I'm on a very limited income, and I don't touch stuff like loans or credit cards/agreements after making some poor very choices about them. So I decided I'd save up for one, which I did, for 2 years. I don't remember off the top of my head what model that tv was, but now there's one I knew I wanted, same size, £3500.

Lot of money to spend on a luxury item, but I saved for it, and last Friday I had saved enough for it, while still having some money left over, so it wasn't like I was spending every single penny I had. But I'm still hesitating, and need to sound it out best as possible


- The main thing thats made me hesitate is the call we had on the same Friday from the management company that owns my building on behalf of an investment firm. They're selling the building and are going to get everyone possible out so they can refurb the flats and increase the rents, and thats gonna include us. So it feels pretty irresponsible to spend all that money when my living situation is so uncertain.

- What's the point of buying the tv, getting it into this building with no lift, and then having to bring it down again in a few months when we leave?

-- Costs more money to buy a new stand for the tv, same issue with bringing it up the stairs, as I don't have a stand big enough for it right now.

- On the other hand, I want the tv, ive been saving for 2 years for it, I want it.
