I feel you. I had laser last week and I decided to pop into a Waterstones afterwards while I was mooching around the city center. I see this couple go up to the rack of Harry Potter books and merch and start oohing and aahing and my stomach turned. I just kinda meekly side-eyed them then I went to the nice woman working at the checkout and asked if there was a queer fiction section, there wasn't, but she gave me book recs.
