Also wtf is up with the Strange World hit? It makes it sound like the movie bombed only because a character in it was gay, and Chapek should have listened to the board member who warned him about that.

I mean, it makes more sense for the CEO to tour and take a look at everything than any of those other people that were named. The CEO is supposed to get a general sense of the business, none of the people listed need to know what the park is like for their jobs. It's more "fun" sure, but there's the possibility that down the road he needs to make some decision about some shit at Animal Kingdom so having a general familiarity with it is a good thing.

This is aside from the fact that the CEO and maybe a couple aides touring around is less of a disruption than if the king brings his entire court to the village.

The fact that they were going to do it without having to wait in line makes it so they wouldn't have general familiarity with shit anyway.

Sex is absolutely essential to the continuation of most every species on the planet, and most everyone watching movies engages in sex. It's a far, far, far higher percentage than the people who engage in extreme acts of violence that permeate most every movie coming out of Hollywood. It humanises characters, it's a way to show passion, weakness, desire etc it's not all just for titillation. Grow up and stop watching movies with your parents.

I haven't seen Succession yet, so I can't speak to the show specifically, but I can ABSOLUTELY agree with one part of your post, which is the fact that as I get older, the less patience I have for media about horrible pieces of shit doing horrible piece of shit things over and over again. I'm just so tired of being asked to emotionally invest myself in assholes I wouldn't want anything to do with if I met them in real life.

Video games, movies, TV shows, I need something to actually care about, and if all of the main characters are awful people, it's really hard for me to stick with it.

Embarrassing. I know some consoles "fake install" and will, like, queue up a digital download as soon as you put the disc in, but for MOST games you can get around that by just installing the disc with your console set to offline mode.

Flat-out just providing an incomplete and unplayable version of your game on disc begs the question of why they even bothered to print a disc version at all.

Gamers really need to stop being soy boomers. When Crysis fried your GPU that was awesome. When a new GPU came out and you could play it at 25fps instead of 20fps, holy shit guys I need this fucking thing. Now they cry because Starfield does not run on an asinine  HDD - 8GB - 8700k - RTX4090 combo.

Also 30 - 60fps at 1440p is fine for games like these on a PC monitor. The ADD patients all need their 120 fps hit or something in 4k while also running recording software.

My RTX 2070 Super is starting to age and considering I got it 4 years ago that's actually what I want, a raising of the bar in technology.

Also we're finally catching up on the CPU side. Because the Xbox One and PS4 CPU's were so fucking shit (AMD really shit the bed with that Jaguar) games didn't really improve with physics and other CPU heavy stuff. Only the early next-gen games like AC: Unity and Destiny 1 tried to do that with very poor results and the games released at the tail end of the generation like CONTROL and Cyberpunk (again with expected very poor results).

In some cases they even went backwards with interactivity (like Gears of War) giving more priority to graphics because that's the one thing they could improve or they left the physics as a PC only 'premium' feature (like METRO).

We're now seeing more CPU heavy scenes and features in games return and the worlds are less static because the Xbox Series and PS5 have far better CPU's. 
That's why older i7's and Ryzens are quickly becoming useless to play modern games.

That's not how you talk to your customers. But I guess Todd and Bethesda can afford it.

Not saying the game isn't optimized, but there is certainly (depending on who to believe) room for improvement. And I am sure they will with upcoming patches and all.

I read quite a bit of impressions because my PC is 3 years old and they seem all over the place.
