I mean, I gotta be real, that Bill Maher interview he did the other weekend didn't exactly fill me with the warm fuzzies in terms of what he'd be looking for in candidates.

Thanks everyone! To clarify, I have been attending catholic mass every Sunday for about 6 weeks now. It has been a very positive experience so far and I have encountered a lot people who are very kind and caring. I now wish to explore ways to further experience the religion (by learning how to pray for example). I also want to find ways to develop more faith. After all it requires a lot of faith to believe in the core beliefs of Christianity for which there is no hard evidence: Jesus performed miracles, Jesus resurrected and will someday return. I am starting to open up to allow more faith in my life. However I do think there are a lot of christians who are just awful human beings. I don't even think those kind of people should be considered christians. I wish to learn from christians who are truly genuine and good people who live the way of Jesus.

I definitely want to avoid all the nonsense that bad actors partake in. Beliefs like the rapture or the belief that gay people will burn in hell (I am gay). Yet selfish rich people who live against everything Jesus stood for will go to heaven.

I was getting through some games in progress recently. Games I thoroughly enjoyed and then looked at the games I had "on deck" and damn, just many great games to play. These are all releases from the past year too. I'm not talking about deep into my backlog.

I know there's a current malaise with the perception of the gaming industry. The prices, lack of risk taking with in the AAA space,  GasS initiatives. But I'm having tons of fun.

Freaking Oblivion remaster coming outta nowhere was a nice surprise but the time 😭

I know it isn't quite what the OP is about, but I feel like I should probably do this tbh, lol. I feel like I actually get less interested in games I was initially interested in if I have to see 5 threads about them per day (please no more Clair Obscur threads, I beg you). Not sure if that's "weird" or not, but I just get tired of seeing the same 1-3 games, often "big" releases, talked about endlessly for a few days/weeks while other games get buried, and I tend to be the kind of person more excited for some random "low profile" or indie release.

Otherwise, to comment more on the OP directly - yes, there's shit tons of games and never enough time to play them. It's not unusual for me to only get around to games literal years later, especially if they weren't "high priority" for me. But I actually kinda like it to some degree, it feels like it'll be literally impossible to ever run out of games to play, there'll always be something new in my backlog for me to get into.

This is me as well, I would never have known I was trans if it wasn't for friends I met online, I wouldn't have known I was a lesbian if it wasn't for this site. Wikipedia while not perfect has been a massive net positive and has opened up so many people to information they would never have had. I wouldn't know nearly as much about LGBTQ+ news and news around the world if I had to rely on stuff like the BBC and the UK newspapers etc. For all the flaws of major social media, it's also been a massive source for LGBTQ+ people to protest against hatred, misinformation and to organize against groups like the UK Government. sites like GoFundMe have been amazing to help people in need or allow indie projects a chance to exist.
