Also pretty weird to see other writers refusing to defend her. I wasn't aware of the controversy around Waypoint, but apparently other journos refused to speak up because folks working for that site are persona non grata. Feels like I'm missing some lore about twohears

Twohearts was a poster who was “trans”, that would do the same exact anti sexy character thing, but then post pictures of anime girls he was attracted to. He would occasionally say he was a DID, and one of his personalities was a “Little”(basically a child) that was attracted to other young children. Sometimes he’d say things like “I’m afraid I’ll give into my urges”, and we spotlighted his aggressively horny posts for children here. He eventually got shadow banned, and wasn’t heard from since. I’m not even sure his Bluesky account is still around.

I'm not sure I've been more disgusted at the behavior here than that thread. I don't really have much else to say but to me a lot of it is people just trying to drop the hottest, loudest takes on social media for attention. Basically twitter tier shitposting. There are some that are genuine about their feelings for sure, but I bet you most of it fits the former description. As time goes on this place becomes more and more "145 characters or less" quality discussion, just drive-by one-liner takes for attention. I'm not sure anything can be done about it. It's just how the discourse online is now thanks to the proliferation of social media.
