People said things would never change after SWSH sold well, and then we had two of the most ambitious departures from the previous template in Legends Arceus and SV, both of which are very well received for gameplay (albeit not perfect).

One instance does not make a pattern, it makes a dot. Just because SV had jank performance doesn't mean we'll never get a good performance again, especially when the Switch 2 patch which should fix much of the jank is right around the corner.

Serebii because he is a genuine obsessive fan that can’t criticize anything of the franchise he loves. I feel that Zeo and Eden are a little insincere about their corporate boot licking, while Serebii just don’t even want to question it.

Part of it is autism, obviously, but he seems sincere in his lack of critical thinking on Pokemon outside on how defend it; and he does badly, but is stubborn and detailed enough to drown discussion.

NO SHIT MY DUDE  That is the stuff that most modern fans complain about Pokemon, and they aren’t getting better after 4 games in a row, but I’m sure Switch 2 is going to fix it.  Gamefreak has the ambition but not the technical capabilities to do most of the stuff they want without jank or big caveats. 

Is that mix of naivety and obliviousness that makes it more exasperating than Zeo or Eden. Specially because is so common with many Pokemon fans while the one that outgrown it need to deal with it because the corpo encourages it.

More options aren't always better, and difficulty modes aren't accessibility. Not everything has to be for everybody.

That said, I've never cared if these games have difficulty options. My preference is that they don't, and this genre doesn't even exist if Demons/Dark Souls had difficulty options. But like with every game, I'm going to play it the way it was designed, whether that's too easy or too hard (which is all subjective anyway and makes the accessibility argument moot).
