The original movie was written by two white men, Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. But the remake was written by Mike van Waes and Chris Kekaniokalani Bright, the latter of whom has native Hawai'ian ancestry, so they did try to give it a more authentic Hawai'ian touch. Apparently Chris Kekaniokalani is the one who changed ice cream to shaved ice.

I also strongly suspect Chris Kekaniokalani is the one who introduced a different Hawai'ian concept to this movie: kuleana, which translates to responsibility or duty. Nani tells Lilo at one point, "It's my kuleana to take care of you," which is why she's so hesitant to accept help at the beginning.

Hello Warhammer 40Eras! So as we've known for a while now, their is possibly a live action Warhammer 40k series coming... Maybe, god knows given how much of mess Hollywood seems to be right now.

Anyway, assuming the very likely chance that any series will feature Space Marines, what chapter or chapters do you want to see and what do you want them doing?

Personally, I don't want the Ultramarines get the spot light, I feel they already get a lot of exposure already and if the series is set into the Indomitus crusade, doesn't give you much freedom to create your own unique stories.

Personally would prefer either an original chapter have the focus or a minor chapter, not only would that give you a ton freedom to give you them their own culture, history, characters, stories etc but also lets you make the series your own and create something beloved, like how the Dawn of War series did with their own Blood Ravens or Imperial Armour did for the Red Scorpions (who before were barely a thing) or Ben Counter did for the Soul Drinkers.

My personal choices would either be a White Scar or Blood Angel chapter, the former gives you a justification for smaller parties (saying money and and obvious issue we've seen with other shows) and I think their culture would work well for a TV show, the latter because I think their quirk of the Black Rage would be interesting to see in live action and would be fascinating to see on screen.

My personal pick would be a White Scar successor chapter like the Dark Hunters about a captain who has suffered a horrible defeat and failure and by order of the Chapter Master, Kharne Al Murzim, must go on a penitence hunt to kill and bring back the head of one of the Chapter's greatest enemies who had recently been reported sighted along with 4-6 of his old Marines; both to absolve himself of his failure but also as a test of character. This hunt would then tie them into the other plotlines set on the main planet of the series setting.

Personally I don't agree. Someone like Rowling has done measurable, tangible damage to a very marginalized group. The Cyberpunk stuff in retrospect might be different, I don't know…I wasn't here but got a cliffs notes on it. Harry Potter tho is a no brainer. There's tangible, widespread harm being done there that's actually lead to discriminatory laws being enacted thanks to her crusade. It's on a completely different level, I'm happy it's banned here.

To be fair, after a while you recognise the same people popping up in Lords of the Fallen/Stellar Blade/Black Myth Wukong/etc. threads ignoring the discussion about the problematic aspects of them that is currently going on just to talk past everyone and contribute vapid nonsense about the game being good so I'm not going to blame anyone for seeing people post things like that and assuming they're a cynical attempt to start shifting the conversation towards some whataboutism nonsense.
