A lot of what I've read so far on the events surrounding Joss prior to this shooting has such a strong whiff of crackhead/trailer trash-style energy that I can't help but think something of this magnitude has been the likeliest outcome for a long time now (I say this as someone with family members that, while I still love them, I avoid at almost all costs because of similar issues & behaviors).

MGS V was a very busywork kind of game. Better than Death Stranding’s busywork, but still a busywork game that it’s easy for someone to never finish. I never got to see the “end” of the game myself. I got bored with it, and when I found out the game was unfinished, I didn’t have a desire to continue.

Not that anyone gives a shit about videogames, but I will always defend MGSV on the basis that is fine that it is unfinished. Whether that's by intent or by accident, the game just "works" better like this IMO.

Depending on the day, I might actually say it is Kojima's best work, as a game and as a narrative.

I think that the Metal Gear getting stolen by Kid Foxhound is the stuff that fucks the game narrative wise. They probably couldn’t change the cutscene where it was stolen (as is followed by the revelation of “you are not the daddy, Venom Snake”) because time. In a ideal world, they will rearrange, rework and cut the  kid storyline after it was clear they were running out of time and Konami lost his patience with Kojima.

I'm MTF pre-hormones. I'm starting to ramp up my transition with hopes of getting on hormones next month. I've started buying womens clothing but I'm not experiencing the gender euphoria I expected to when putting them on. Instead I just see a man wearing a bra and panties. Im really discouraged. To be fair, could be that at the time they thought the barbecue grill was the most likely cause and now after seeing the neighbor being willing to murder he suspects different. The point of a review is to let people know if what they're looking to spend their money on is worth it or if it works as advertised. It's a form of consumer protection and advocacy provided by news organizations. Reviews allow us to ensure that things work the way they are supposed to and that we get what we pay for.

Beyond that, at a time when actual journalism is under attack by pretty much everyone, we shouldn't be playing platform warrior given the importance of this issue. You might be buying it without worrying about a review, I already am, but that doesn't mean that reviews are meaningless and hold no value. They're one of the few ways we have to ensure that the companies looking to sell us things are being honest.

Acting isn't about an introspective look at a character. That's more writing. It's about making the audience believe.

So yeah I think Link for sure will be an extremely challenging role. Especially if he doesn't talk. Zelda probably will be too. She's strong, sometimes fierce, regal. That's not easy. But who knows how she'll be written.
