People aren't gonna wake up. It's become a bipartisan message to view illegal immigrants as inherently criminal. No Democrat. Not a single one, not even those on the left, has articulated why the process of immigration has culminated in millions of undocumented immigrants, and why immigration is inherently natural, and why undocumentation does not imply criminality. Instead, they scurry back with their tails between their legs, reinforcing the idea that 'illegal' immigration must be stifled, and thus the American people assume that this is an actual problem that needs to be stopped, while not changing a goddamn thing with immigration policy. It's a failure on the American people, and it's especially a failure for liberals (and leftists) for failing to produce any counter-message or implementing any meaningful policy that makes immigration not a complete logistical and legal shitshow. Now we're going to have to live with our failures and it's not going to get any better unless we actually elect leaders with the fucking spine to do something about this.

The problem is that everyone thinks lawbreakers are unlawful.

Agreed. Reading this thread I would have assumed that a thread advertising a sale of Microsoft products would be considered a hype thread, when it's seemingly not considered that by the Era staff.
I feel like having some clearer rules regarding this would result in less work for both mods and users.

Its at that point where I am more and more losing enjoyment in Era. Console wars, trolling, all that sort of stuff I find pretty funny and peoples bad/differing opinions about things just always bounced off me. But this is just.... I don't know. So much of Era is just ignoring and not acknowledging of it and it is making me more and more disgruntled. Ive always been pretty open minded about this sort of thing, people need to find enjoyment in what they can, and it is up to them to what line they decide to cross, or not. But this just feels more than that, profiting of genocide is so extreme, its like... how can people ignore that? I think playing games is one thing, if you have thousands of dollars invested in the ecosystem and you cant afford to go elsewhere, sure I get it. But what really gets me is when hype threads are created, or people act surprised when others are angry at xbox, etc etc.

I don't know, it is probably on me that I used to think that Era was for the most part good people. I used to post a lot in the xbox OT, there are a lot of people I used to banter and argue with in there. But now, just thinking of posting in there just sickens me. And I stay out of those hype threads, I dont want to ruin gaming for other people. But it is hard, because I don't stay quiet when I have an issue with something, I confront it, I'm not the type of person to just let something simmer. The problem is that you have to stay quiet or rather not say what you want to say in these threads or you're a goner.

Its not even a small issue either and I think people should feel uncomfortable and get a reminder as much as possible.

I think I could understand it more if Xbox was the industry but they aren't. There's alternatives to continue enjoying your hobby like Sony, Nintendo, Valve, Google, Apple and the large and forever expanding world of emulation.
