Or that her teammates “love having her out there. She’s a great kid and a great teammate.”

Gaines has never let facts get in her way, so she posted three times about it in a two-hour span. Made sure to mention the name of the transgender athlete, as well, while purposely misgendering her.

It's a shame Gaines, one of the few outspoken "elite" female athletes, is such an asshole who has turned valid grievances into a MAGA grift. She's actually detrimental.

All you need would be a Lindsay Vonn, Caitlin Clarke or Simone Biles (about that...) to speak out in a measured and respectful ways, for the liberal media, pretty much the last people still defending this, to finally change their tune and see the light.

It is truly amazing watching these people fighting for what is clearly a lost cause while thinking they are actually the good guys and that the popular opinion is behind them.

How was it?

I actually preferred it over like an Uber. You don't have to do deal with the weird drivers. 

The car even talks to you and plays calming music like you're getting a massage while it drives. 

It's more expensive than Uber Lyft but more fun.

I guess being a robot car it doesn't hesitate when it drives. It doesn't think before it does something so it feels a lot more aggressive when it drives. But why wouldn't it? It doesn't need time to think whether it should pull in or out of traffic. It just does it.

Also it uses Bluetooth so you use your phone to unlock the door when it gets to you. This was my first Self-Driving car experience. So I don't really have much to compare it to.

Honestly confused by the anger people express at the mere suggestion to use the American flag. Isn't the whole protest about letting people live in the US? How is waving the flag of foreign nations not a counter message to that? What exactly are they intending to express when they let the Mexican flag fly?

Something something body fascism… but nearly every serious gym, home gym, whatever, is flying the American flag. Not just in America. The gym I go to here in Japan has an American flag and nobody speaks English.

Dude's trying to make a tick tock video and be all big time to get waymo to buy his flight. Lol not once did I see him try and use his phone or the touch screen to stop

From his attitude I can kind of figure he was wanting to be a Karen and make his video more than he was actually concerned by asking "Am I hacked. What's going on? I'm sick." What a bitch. I think both of these statements are circling the same point, which is that its legitimately a shame that 'the left' have fully ceded the concept of patriotism to 'the right'.
Like, you would assume a left leaning individual would take pride in things like being a contributing member of society and paying their taxes, because your country is your society, and you can't have socialism without that sense of pride in your community and doing things for a greater good.

I'd like to think that maybe this happened because patriotism and nationalism are dangerously close, but the depressing truth is I think it's more likely a combination of 'intersectionality' creating tribalism and people deciding their own tiny inherently minority society is the only one that actually counts (and having its own flag!) and the knee jerk response of "I'm for everything those guys aren't!" as ideological stance

I'm too lazy to commit to the entire copypasta, but in my circles, you are genuinely viewed with suspicion if you wear a flag hat on any day but the 4th of July. I've been with people who act like towns with a notable number of flags hanging from windows/houses/light poles are the equivalent of sundown towns...and these are white people!

Naturally there are even threads on our favorite forum where people bring this up (i.e. why did the left concede americana/the flag/patriotism to the right) and Nep and co are all up in there saying Great Satan, America has never done nothing for nobody, I wipe my ass with the flag, etc.
