if you go to itch.io you can find thousands of free games from indie devs trying to promote themselves, many of them shit but some good enough to pass the time with

I get less than $1800 a month from disability after working full-time from the age 18 to 50 paying all my taxes. I hope everyone like Britt and Malds die. Fuck them.

So lately I've been less and less eager to play video games on my PC. Whenever I access my Steam library, it's on my Steam Deck and not my computer. 90 % of my gaming is on that and my PS5, my Switch 2 now, and my Deck. I'm several generations behind on graphics cards, and while I have my very generous parents to help me out in games, the amount they're willing to give me and the money I get from the government isn't enough to cover the money needed to constantly upgrade to keep up with that rat race.

I never take any suicide thread on Era seriously. Years of reading shit from people like Melody Shreds have convinced me that it's all a grift to get people to DM you and privately send you money.

But this dude is definitely a troll. I'm not sure if I find him entertaining or not. On the one hand, he's very, very obvious. On the other, claiming he's 'suicidal' has made him unbannable and, so, he's pretty abusive to alot of people replying to him.

Era is just an in-group where people are encouraged to see all their problems as happening to them -- happening at them.  You can decide how to react and feel independent of what's happening to you.  They're just helpless to feel anything but victimized, with no sense of agency or responsibility for their own healing.  If bad shit happens in the world, there must be some guilt or shitty feeling, or else, is it really bad?  It's a community that validates wallowing instead of encouraging the kind of outward focus and service to others that actually breaks the cycle of depression.  You don't deliver sandwiches to people because you want to dismantle capitalism, you do it because pro-social behaviors feel like being human.    That guy outright refuses to see anything beyond what exists in the walls of his own head, and when people tell him to, he lashes out.
