The Saga games seemed to used scaling, whereas FM3 seems like some dude said "redraw this shitty low-res pixel blob into a 4k high definition image" and well...

I just did a little research and it also seems like the Saga games were at least partially developed in-house, while FM3 seems to have been fully contracted out. That might explain the (lack of) attention to detail here.

Labour had such a huge mandate to enact actual meaningful change and they instead opted for cynical returns to what was already proven to not work and a tyrannical approach to crushing critics. At this point, I see them easily getting obliterated by Reform at the next GE. I won't be happy, but it'll be of their own doing.

This is exactly what I foresee too, and it's so frustrating knowing it could be so different if Labour embraced progressive change instead. They seem to think not giving people the government they want can be countered by becoming even more fascist and crushing dissent and they are wrong. Instead, they will sweep Reform into power.
