My neighbor's pitbull killed a golden retriever at our local dog park yesterday. He was a really cool dog and my kids were pretty attached since we don't have a dog. The dog has a history of killing other animals like coyotes and raccoons but hasn't harmed another dog until now.

Just sucks because we had to explain to the kids what happened to the dog and truth be told I don't like lying to them about such things which we could've done. Basically told them what happened and that the dog had to be put to sleep since it was a danger to other dogs. Feel really bad for the owner of the golden retriever too. I'm sure their family is devastated. Doesn't seem right for the authorities to kill my neighbors dog either though.

No one ever seems to show evidence of Kneecap saying they support Hamas and they have said it's a smear campaign, while decrying how focus isn't put on Israel. I've seen both of you in Palestine threads and know y'all have history of being disingenuous whenever you bring up Hamas, purposefully ignore history or refuse to acknowledge how Hamas is more than just its military wing and is a governmental entity in Gaza, how they are Israel's creation from the '70s and their plan to divide and conquer by supporting them against the secular PLO. Y'all do not have the same level of ire (far more mentions of Hamas in posts compared to IDF) towards IDF, CIA, or other far more murderous terrorist organisations. Hamas has committed acts of terror and atrocities, no denying that. It's also worth acknowledging how non-violent resistance is met with murder and assassinations by Israel, so it's no surprise violent resistance happens and it can rise to the level of violent acts like suicide bombings. Bearing in mind that the UN doesn't deem them as a terrorist organisation, nor does Amnesty International, and it's mainly European and other European settler colonial states (USA, Canada, Australia) that have.

This is just days before the UK government decides whether to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation, who have never harmed a single human being.

These are the flimsy grounds that the UK government can decide to call a group a terrorist organisation, like literally "serious damage to property":

First off, here's the video of them shouting "Up Hamas, Up Hezbollah" if that's fake or whatever, then my bad, but I haven't heard them claim that the videos aren't real and instead talk about the context. Though it sure puts his statement into question that he didn't know that it's a Hezobllah flag when he literally shouts them out while wearing the flag.



Also, I was in particular talking about Hezbollah (Was Hamas also supporting Assad? If so I wasn't aware of that). A group that was designated as a terrorist organization by the Arab League from 2016-2024 to by the way. But I'm not even talking about the legality here, and what is defined as terrorist organization and what isn't, but the contradiction of wanting to see people stop being murdered and then shouting support for a group that was involved in one of the bloodiest civil wars in the last decades. Like am I just wrong in seeing a contradiction there? I honestly don't know what I'm missing.

I get that it's supposed to be provocative, and they certainly succeeded there, but I'm lost on how it's a message of peace

The real question is if the criteria for not getting banned for blaming citizens for actions of their government is based around the skin color of the citizens.
