So many games come with unnecessary bloat that should be totally optional. Like Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its language options. I believe Assassin's Creed Valhalla had a huge file-size when it launched, but is actually one of those rare games that actually prioritised efficiency and Ubisoft managed to reduce it's overall hard-disk footprint over the last couple of years 

I'd prefer game files to be smaller instead of having to constantly uninstall stuff.

People shouldn't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for external system storage to install games. I don't give a shit how fancy the FMVs are. Two discs ISN'T a good thing.

The game is not going to be over 650GB, you do not need external storage

If it's more than 100GB my PS5 won't have room for it. I know this might come as a shock, but some people have games they keep on their consoles that take up a lot of space, and 200+GB install sizes are absolutely unacceptable. Jedi Survivor being 149GB was bad enough.

I don't remember the game now but when I was first loading up my steam deck there was some giant game, and an accompanying guide to mod all the foreign languages out of it, and then also mod out the 4k textures used only at the highest graphical settings (not relevant on the deck's small screen anyway), to reduce its file size by half or more

we have the technology now that we could set a primary language for the console/steam and have it signal which language packs to include based on that

PlanetSmasher is definitely an annoying loser, but I still prefer him to the absolute freaky fucking creep that is ZeroVagina.

Octopath 2 just came out (and that game was not cheap to make at all)

Dragon Quest 12 is still coming out.

The moment people realize that someone who's disappointed by FF not being turn-based anymore is not going to be satisfied by the puddle depth, "baby's first D&D campaign" storytelling and $5 character designs of a Dragon Quest game is the moment the FF fandom will find true peace. Sadly, I don't think that moment will ever come.

There seems to be this prevailing belief that people who want turn-based combat also want utterly simplistic gameplay or utterly shallow NES-inspired Saturday morning cartoon storylines, and I don't really think that's true. Like I would sacrifice quite a bit for a AAA turn-based game with a Suikoden-style story full of complex political machinations and tons of interesting characters. Instead we just get "the generic hero has to punch the dark dragon!" or "I want to be an adventurer!" stories with virtually zero actual effort put into them.
