She may be right that shouting down people doesn't work, but using that as an excuse not to publicly mention Gaza is a highly cynical take especially since the needle seems to be finally moving in favor of Palestinians.

I agree in an ideal world, Kamala Harris would've been firmly against the genocide but we know how much of a controlling interest Israel and its people have in the US that even if she wanted to, she couldn't.

You don't need to make a video about anything. You don't need to make a black image with white text about anything. You can keep working on the stuff that you feel is best worth your time. This wasn't.

The pre-release rumor was that the film had to make $700 million. The fact that Gunn went out of his way to deny that by saying "nowhere near that much" makes it seem true. Presumably the real story is that Warner is applying some of the marketing and previz costs to relaunching the entire thing. Supergirl being next they can turn around on some of it, reusing the logo, already having designed her suit and the Kryptonian looks, etc. as part of this.

It's easy to frame Man of Steel doing better along with the Returns bomba as if this will kill the entire thing, when it's probably that Superman just isn't modern blockbuster level like Batman. MoS underperformed too if you frame it against the Nolan Batman films, the MCU and BvS. If these people actually did listen to Zaslav they'd know his complaint with the previous regime is that they had no plan that actually used the IP because they were trying to stick a shared universe onto something that was supposed to have already ended. Superman coming in close to MoS is probably perfectly fine.
