I don't really know what their actual stances on a lot of things are but hearing how they talk about their creative process it rarely seems like they actually care either way about the things they talk about, only how they can use and interpret them to make some funny. To be blunt I think Matt and Trey only view a lot of things as to how good a joke they can build off of it. It’s why they went after Gore and Global Warming with Manbearpig. They could make some great jokes out of the subject. That's it.

Even if the app was secure through all of the normal methods and everything taken into account, down to the smallest amount of code being encrypted, this is why we can't even have something that could be secure, because it's 100% driven by hatred of women having spaces that don't include men in them. It's narcissism backed by the feeling of needing to be in control of the narrative at all times no matter the cost.

All of this is just sad because it's the men that feel vindictive about the data being exposed that needs to be taught the real lesson. They just can't take the memo that they are the reason why women would gravitate towards something like this in the first place If anything, this just makes women more victims than they already are which is the truly awful part. My hope is that maybe this helps them to look towards local groups that are moderated by other women instead of relying on corpos. But maybe that's being too naive.

I don't disagree but the fact that none of the mods stepped in so far should tell you all you need to know about the kind of website and community this is.

I don't know, I think it's just an unexplored avenue of moderation policy and that in general the community is great and the moderators do an excellent job. I imagine the community and the moderation team could have a pretty constructive conversation about this and come up with a solution if we all got together in good faith. Nobody is saying that people don't have a point about Ozzy being a deeply flawed man, I think it's just a matter of where to put that discussion in a moment like now. Seems solvable to me!

It has been nearly 8 years and most people still don't know what the moderation policies are. Including the staff.

It's weird, because its one of the few policies they actually bothered to fucking write down rather than just relying on 'mod vibes':
